  • Publication number: 20150326565
Abstract: Methods and systems for authenticating a security device for providing a secure access and transaction authorization to a remote network location are provided. The security device is authenticated by installing private security software on the security device. In order to authorize a transaction, a transaction authorization is performed using the security device by display a QR (Quick Response) code from an authorization server on a user terminal and scanning the QR code into the security device. After scanning the QR code, an OTA (One-Time-Authorization) code is sent from the security device to the authorization server for verifying the transaction. Embodiments of the present invention provide increased security and privacy. A corresponding system for authenticating a security device and preforming secure and private transactions is also provided.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and compositions that find use in facilitating a diagnosis of inflammatory liver disease in a subject. The methods and compositions generally involve detection of eotaxin-3 (E3) levels, either alone or with levels of eotaxin-1 (E1), and optionally, with levels of CCL22 and, further optionally, with levels of IL15. These levels can be used to facilitate a diagnosis of a liver disease of at least one of autoimmune hepatitis (AIH), primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC), and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), and/or to facilitate a differential diagnosis between AIH, PBC, and PSC. • Publication number: 20150172292
Abstract: Methods for authenticating a security device at a local network location for providing a secure access from the local network location to a remote network location are provided. A security device is registered by installing private security software on the security device that generates an asymmetrical encryption key pair including an encryption key and a decryption key. The encryption key is stored only on the security device and the decryption key is stored only on a remote server. Embodiments of the present invention provide increased security by not storing the encryption key on the remote server so that attackers stealing data from the server cannot pretend to a user having the registered security device. A corresponding system for authenticating a security device is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8970152
Abstract: An exemplary power supply assembly includes a drive device having a bus capacitor. A switch associated with an input side of the drive device selectively connects the drive device to a power supply. An inductor has an impedance that limits an amount of current supplied to the bus capacitor during an initial charging of the bus capacitor when the switch connects the input side of the drive device to the power supply. A restrictive circuit portion dampens a resonance effect of the inductor. The restrictive circuit portion has a resistance that allows the bus capacitor to charge quickly. The impedance of the inductor has a more significant effect on how quickly the bus capacitor charges than an effect of the resistance. A dampening factor of the restrictive circuit controls a voltage of the bus capacitor during the charging of the bus capacitor.

  • Patent number: 8779310
Abstract: A switching device includes a switching element movable from a first position into a second position, a drive unit producing a rotary movement, and a flexible shaft transmitting the rotary movement to the switching element. The shaft has rotatable input and output sections on input- and output-drive sides, respectively. During movement of the shaft, a first rotary angle is producible at the output section, which first rotary angle is less than a second rotary angle at the input section at the same time, such that a first rotary angle shift is produced. The input section is connected to a switching position detection element having a control means with a first region which corresponds to the first position of the switching element and is coupled to the detection element. An identical indication of the detection element can be achieved in case of different rotary angle shifts in the same electrical switching state.

  • Publication number: 20140080593
Abstract: A gaming system includes a motion tracking sensing device, a user image reproduction device to display a mirror image of a user operating the gaming system, a user image enhancement display device disposed in proximity to the user image reproduction device, and one or more memory devices storing instructions. The instructions cause the gaming system to sense, via the motion tracking sensing device, a first relative position of the user, generate first graphical images and first graphical image locations based on the sensed first relative position of the user, and output the first graphical images at the first graphical image locations on the user image enhancement display device so that the graphical images overlay corresponding portions of the mirror image of the user when viewed from the sensed first relative position of the user.

  • Patent number: 8624146
Abstract: An exemplary switch having a housing that includes one contact bolt per phase. Each contact bolt moving along a longitudinal axis. In a first position on the axis, the contact bolt connects two active parts to one another. In a second position on the axis, the contact bolt is connected to a fixed earthing contact piece. A drive motor actuates the contact bolts via a drive spindle. The lines of movement of each contact bolt all phases lie in a common plane, wherein each contact bolt is driven by one insulating spindle, which is aligned with the line of movement. The drive spindle lies in the plane of the lines of movement and runs perpendicular to the insulating spindles and is coupled to each insulating spindle via a respective deflecting gear mechanism. The deflecting gear mechanism for the drive of the contact bolts is accommodated in the earthing contact pieces.
