Abstract: A thermal management system is provided for a vehicle that includes a traction battery. The thermal management system includes refrigerant and cooling subsystems. The cooling subsystem includes a cabin coolant loop that provides thermal management of a passenger cabin of the vehicle, a battery coolant loop that provides thermal management of the traction battery and a drivetrain coolant loop that provides thermal management of a drivetrain and power electronics of the vehicle. The cabin, battery and the drivetrain coolant loops are interconnected via coolant proportional valves and fluid lines.

Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for ground fault immune data measurement system for electric submersible pumps. A data measurement system coupled to the ESP includes a surface unit coupled to a 3-phase power cable for providing power to a 3-phase motor of the ESP and a downhole unit coupled to the motor of the ESP and located downhole in a well. The downhole unit includes sensor and is configured to generate frequency modulated carrier signals for carrying the sensor data to the surface unit. Each of the frequency modulated carrier signals carries identical sensor data and is modulated to a different frequency. The carrier signals are shunted across the motor windings of the ESP motor and onto the 3-phase power cable via a capacitive coupling. Additionally, another carrier signal carrying control data may be transmitted from the surface unit to the downhole unit.

Abstract: A method and system for managing and facilitating communications among affiliants to financial instruments that otherwise are precluded from directly and optimally interacting via the Street Name System is provided. More particularly software-based tools are provided that allow immediate, identity-protected responses and dialogued messaging among parties that can be validated with respect to their affiliations when they interact. The platform also allows holder-to-holder communications, which is not currently possible within the Street Name System. It can facilitate interactions among all types of affiliants to a financial instrument whether issuer, holder, lawyer, service provider, or otherwise.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for determining a whether access to host requested by a user is permitted. User identifying information is obtained using any of a variety of techniques. The method includes determining a user domain, which indicates an identity of the user's home service provider. A list of hosts is determined based on the home provider. If the requested host is in the list of hosts, then the user is allowed access to the requested host though the user is not authorized. The list of hosts may be determined by one or more attributes from an actual or implied user profile, such as a domain name.

Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for ground fault immune data measurement system for electric submersible pumps. Abstract: A method, a system and a computer program product for upgrading firmware is disclosed. In one embodiment data storage is managed in a data storage system comprising a first enclosure having a first storage processor and a first power supply. A firmware upgrade is saved in the first storage processor. The firmware upgrade in the first storage processor and firmware in the first power supply are compared. The firmware upgrade is downloaded to the first power supply in response to the comparison determining a difference between the firmware upgrade in the first storage processor and the firmware in the first power supply. The firmware is upgraded in the first power supply with the firmware upgrade.

Abstract: Hardware faults in data storage systems are diagnosed. User I/O errors are received. Disk drive port error counters, primary port error counters, and expansion port error counters are read. A user I/O error threshold is modified based on the error counter readings. Depending on the type of errors counted, the user I/O error threshold may be increased or decreased. Once a first quantity of user I/O errors exceeds the modified user I/O error threshold, a faulty component is identified.

Abstract: A method of transmitting power and/or data between downhole equipment and a surface through a circuit including an alternating current (AC) powered motor and its associated power cable for powering the downhole equipment is disclosed, where the data is transmitted at frequencies outside the normal operating ranges that are thought acceptable. Associated circuitry and apparatus for performing the method are disclosed.

Abstract: A method is used in managing loop interface instability. It is determined that a loop has excessive intermittent failures. It is determined, based on whether the intermittent failures are detectable on another loop, whether the cause of the excessive intermittent failures is within a specific category of components. A search procedure is executed that is directed to the specific category of components, to isolate the cause of the excessive intermittent failures.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for determining a location of a client session in a telecommunications network by comparing attributes of the client session connection to location definition information stored in a configuration file. A method of handling requests from proxy and non-proxy client connections in a telecommunications network by redirecting requests from unauthenticated proxy clients to a transparent proxy port on a captive portal such that the captive portal proxies the requests is also disclosed. The request may be directed to a service, such as a destination IP address and optional port number. A method for a proxy server to identify an edge session through an out-of-band request containing proxy metadata to a web portal for secure (HTTPS) requests is also disclosed. The edge session is identified for the web portal through a hostkey determined by the proxy server.

The loop is tested with the first device functionally removed from the loop. Depending on the results of the test, it is determined that the first device is not the cause of the loop interface failure and a second device on the loop is identified as the cause of the loop interface failure.

Abstract: A method for automatically diagnosing faults a data storage system. The system includes a plurality of enclosures each having: a primary port; an expansion port; a plurality of disk drives; and a link control card coupled to the primary port and to the expansion port and the plurality of disk drives. The link control card includes a cut through switch having: disk drive port error counters for counting at ports of the plurality of disk drives; a primary port error counter for counting cumulative errors at the primary port, and an expansion port error counter for counting cumulative errors at the expansion port. The primary ports and expansion ports are serially interconnected to the storage processor through a fiber channel loop. The method sequentially reads counters in each one of the enclosures to determine whether errors counted in any one of such counters exceeds a predetermined threshold over a predetermined period of time.

Abstract: Storage stability is managed. It is detected that a disk drive is requesting to be taken offline. The disk drive is begun to be treated as being in a probation state. If within an acceptable period of time the disk drive requests to be put back online, treatment of the disk drive as being in a probation state is stopped, and only any portions of the disk drive data that were the subject of write requests involving the disk drive while the disk drive was being treated as being in a probation state are rebuilt.

Abstract: A system and method for identifying first responders at the scene of a hazardous site employs RFID technology to assemble an electronic ride list of first responders at a hazardous site. The electronic ride list is generated by polling the first responders on vehicles en route to the hazardous site. Each electronic ride list is sent to a central location, and an aggregated electronic ride list is assembled employing all of the individual electronic ride lists.

Abstract: System stability is managed. It is determined that a data storage system is responsive to an enclosure that is unstable. Based on the determination, the enclosure is temporarily prevented from being added to the data storage system.
