  • Patent number: 9541047
Abstract: A system, which is used in particular as a fuel injection system for the high-pressure injection in internal combustion engines, includes a fuel distributor and a plurality of fuel injectors. Each fuel injector is situated on a cup of the fuel distributor. At least one of the fuel injectors is fastened to the associated cup by a holding element, which has a supporting surface. The cup has a contact surface on an underside, by way of which the cup is supported at the supporting surface of the holding element by a damping layer. The holding element is attached to the cup. In addition, the fuel injector has a collar, which is braced on the holding element. Because of the damping layer, vibrations are able to be dampened, and the noise transmissions is able to be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20160169176
Abstract: A decoupling element, for decoupling a fuel injection valve from a cylinder head, includes a body that, in the mounted state, surrounds a housing of the fuel injection valve. The body is fashioned to include a cylinder-side support region to be supported on the cylinder head, and a valve-side support region for supporting the fuel injection valve. When the fuel injection valve is supported at the valve-side support region, the body is loaded with pressure. Only the cylinder-side support region of the body is fashioned in the shape of a closed ring, which connects segments of the body distributed around a circumference. The decoupling element enables the reduction of the transmission of noise from the fuel injection valve to the cylinder head.

  • Patent number: 9296423
Abstract: The trailer backup assist system has a human machine interface coupled to a controller having a setup module, a calibration module, an activation module and a control module configured to receive trailer measurements, apply trailer measurements, activate and control vehicle systems to calibrate and implement a curvature control algorithm that controls the reverse movement of the vehicle-trailer combination in a manner consistent with a driver request. When incorrect trailer measurements have been entered, the trailer backup assist system recognizes the error, initiates a warning and requests corrective action to correct the trailer measurements. Default values for a maximum controllable curvature limit and a maximum controllable angle replace the limits calculated and applied by the calibration model that used incorrect trailer measurements, until corrected trailer measurements may be entered by the driver.

  • Publication number: 20160085259
Abstract: A selector lever that comprises a shaft rotatably attached to a pivot and arranged between two detent plates, each of the detent plates having a plurality of slots arranged for receiving a detent pin located on the shaft. Each of the plurality of slots on each of the two detent plates is defined by a radial depth. One or more of the plurality of slots is a failure detection slot having an extended radial depth. When one of the detent pins has failed, the opposing detent pin is allowed to travel into the extended radial depth when placed in the failure detection slot. This action reveals a failure indicator, providing a visual indication that one of the detent pins has failed.
