  • Publication number: 20210053704
Abstract: A container carrier application system is provided. The system includes a controller, a conveyor, a container positioning device, and an application device. The conveyor conveys a plurality of groups of containers from a supply side to an output side. The container positioning device positions each group of containers for application of a container carrier, and the application device applies the container carrier to the group. A motion of the container positioning device and a motion of the application device are synchronized to coordinate a position of the group with a position of the container carrier to be applied to the group. The controller is configured to control a conveyance speed of the groups such that a gap is introduced between a first group and a second group as they are conveyed along the conveyor, the gap being spaced in a conveyance direction of the containers.

  • Publication number: 20210016076
Abstract: A circuit connector for a humidification system, the system comprising a base unit configured to be engaged by a humidification chamber. The circuit connector comprises an inlet to fluidly connect to an outlet of the humidification chamber to receive humidified gases therefrom, an outlet to sealably connect to or integral with a conduit for directing the humidified gases to a user, and an electrical terminal for electrically coupling the circuit connector to an electrical terminal associated with the base unit. The circuit connector may be releasably and lockably connectable to the outlet of the humidification chamber and/or orientation features may control orientation of component parts of the system as they are assembled.

  • Patent number: 10856233
Abstract: A method and network entity for extending communication coverage in a network between a network entity and a wireless device. The method includes determining that the wireless device qualifies for coverage extension, the determining including that deriving appropriate transmission parameters for the wireless devices results in one of a lowest possible or most robust modulation and coding scheme (MCS), and determining achievable transmission performance parameters for the wireless device. If the determined achievable transmission performance parameters do not meet a set of pre-established transmission criteria, the downlink transmission power to the wireless device is increased.

  • Patent number: 10673558
Abstract: A method and network node for performing link adaption are disclosed. In one embodiment, a channel state information, CSI, measurement is received from a wireless device. An information carrying capacity, ICC, over a number of scheduling blocks, SBs, for a plurality of modulation formats for a target criteria is determined based at least in part on the CSI measurement from the wireless device. A modulation format of the plurality of modulation formats with a maximum ICC is selected. A transport block size, TBS, is determined for the selected modulation format. Link adaptation is performed based on the determined TBS.

  • Publication number: 20190255278
Abstract: A humidification system can include a heater base, a humidification chamber, and a breathing circuit. A cartridge can be removably coupled to the heater base. The cartridge can include various sensors, probes, sensor wire connectors, heater wire connectors, and/or other features. The cartridge can include features configured to mate with corresponding features on the humidification chamber and the heater base. The cartridge includes a memory, such as an EEPROM, or other suitable storage device. When the cartridge is installed on the heater base, the memory is electrically connected to a processor and/or memory of the heater base. Various models of cartridges can be produced for use with different humidification chambers, breathing circuits, and/or therapies. A connector can be configured to couple an inspiratory conduit to an outlet port of the humidification chamber. The connector can provide a pneumatic connection to the outlet port and an electrical connection to the cartridge.

  • Publication number: 20190167480
Abstract: The present disclosure discussed a handpiece for trans-canal delivery of a therapeutic substance to the inner ear. The handpiece can be inserted into the middle ear via a surgical tympanotomy approach. The handpiece can enable a controlled injection of a therapeutic substance directly through the round window membrane and into the inner ear. The direct delivery of the therapeutic substance to the inner ear can enable the delivery of a precise amount of therapeutic substance into the inner ear. Because the therapeutic substance is delivery directly to the inner ear the delivery of the therapeutic substance is not subject to limitations on molecule size and inconsistent diffusion rates that are present when therapeutic substances are diffused across the round window membrane.
