  • Patent number: 11504746
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for designating a location for a delivery item that is being sorted by an operator. The operator scans the delivery address of the item using a scanner having a particular attribute, such as being painted red. Using delivery address along with an identifier for the scanner that was used, the system determines a sort output location for the item, identifies a designator (e.g. a specific color, such as red) that corresponds to the scanner, and identifies an indicator device (e.g., a multicolor LED device) that corresponds to the sort output location. The system then commands the indicator device to present or display the designator. For example, the indicator device may be commanded to illuminate a LED to give off red light. The operator of the red scanner then places the item at the location corresponding to the red light designator.

  • Patent number: 11492298
Abstract: Methods for forming a coated component, along with the resulting coated components, are provided. The method may include forming a silicon-based bond coating on a surface of a substrate and forming a barrier coating on the silicon-based bond coating. The silicon-based bond coating comprises columnar grains of crystalline silicon. Chemical vapor depositing (CVD) may be used to form the silicon-based bond coating through CVD of a silicon-containing precursor at a deposition temperature and deposition pressure that causes crystallization of the silicon material during the deposition of the silicon-based bond coating. The silicon-containing precursor may be silane, monochlorosilane, dichlorosilane, and/or trichlorosilane.

  • Patent number: 11461568
Abstract: Disclosed are a reader device, system, and method for communicating with a wireless sensor. The reader device may be configured to analyze the strength of a response signal transmitted from the wireless sensor in response to an excitation pulse generated by the reader device. In one embodiment, the reader device may be configured to engage be placed in a plurality of modes to allow the reader to transmit a signal, such as a short pulse of energy or a short burst of radio frequency energy to cause the wireless sensor to output a resonant signal. The reader device may receive the resonant signal from the wireless sensor and evaluate it against predetermined values. The evaluated signals may be used to assess the strength and the proximity of the reader device relative to the wireless sensor as it is implanted in a patient.
