    Abstract: A cooking hob is mountable in a cut-out of a worktop such that an outer edge of a cooktop of the cooking hob rests on a circumferential cut-out edge of the worktop. A gasket means is arranged/arrangeable on a bottom side of the cooktop to provide a sealing between the bottom side and the worktop. The outer edge includes an edge decorating and/or protecting means that can include a first area or portion with a shape or structure that is adjusted to the shape of the lower and/or side surface, and a second area or portion arranged in a side-by-side arrangement with the first area or portion, farther away from the lower and/or side surface. Moreover, the edge decorating and/or protecting means can be configured to contact the lower surface at a position next or adjacent to the gasket means.

A resilient sealing ring, when the closure member is in the closed position, is moveable between a first configuration in which the sealing ring forms a seal around a circumference of the convex sealing surface and a second configuration in which the valve comprises a circumferential gap between the convex sealing surface and the sealing ring.
