Abstract: A display may have an array of organic light-emitting diode display pixels. Each display pixel may include a drive transistor coupled in series with one or more emission transistors and a respective organic light-emitting diode (OLED). A semiconducting-oxide transistor may be coupled between a drain terminal and a gate terminal of the drive transistor to help reduce leakage during low-refresh-rate display operations. To compensate for variations in the threshold voltage of the semiconducting-oxide transistor, the magnitude of a high voltage level of a scan control signal provided to the gate terminal of the semiconducting-oxide transistor may be adjusted. Sensing circuitry may be used to sense a display current while displaying a calibration image. The sensed display current may be compared to an expected display current associated with the calibration image. Processing circuitry may update the high voltage level based on the actual display current compared to the expected display current.

  • Publication number: 20200237283
Abstract: Athletic activity may be monitored using heart rate in addition to or instead of other types of metrics. Accordingly, multiple different activity types may be compared based on heart rate information. Additionally, the heart rate information may be visualized by displaying the heart rate data over time or relative to pace or distance. Additionally, the system may allow a user to analyze his or her heart rate performance by identifying one or more portions of the athletic activity in which a user exhibited a specified range of heart rates. Athletic activity sessions may further be tagged with various indicators including weather, terrain, difficulty and intensity. According to one or more aspects, data for different types of activity metrics may be polled and/or transmitted to a system at different rates or based on different schedules. Moreover, users may specify whether sensed data may be uploaded, recorded and/or visualized prior to or during an activity session.

A performance monitoring counter (PMC) register is coupled to the reload register and an event-based sampler operatively is coupled to the reload register and the PMC register. The event-based sampler includes circuitry to load the reload value into the PMC register and increment the PMC register after detecting each occurrence of an event of a certain type as a result of execution of the instructions. Upon detecting an occurrence of the event after the PMC register reaches a predetermined trigger value, the event-based sampler is to execute microcode to generate field data for elements within a sampling record, wherein the field data relates to a current processor state of execution, and reload the reload value from the reload register into the PMC register.

  • Publication number: 20200242088
Abstract: Virtual storage arrays consolidate branch data storage at data centers connected via wide area networks. Virtual storage arrays appear to storage clients as local data storage; however, virtual storage arrays actually store data at the data center. The virtual storage arrays overcomes bandwidth and latency limitations of the wide area network by predicting and prefetching storage blocks, which are then cached at the branch location. Virtual storage arrays leverage an understanding of the semantics and structure of high-level data structures associated with storage blocks to predict which storage blocks are likely to be requested by a storage client in the near future. Virtual storage arrays determine the association between requested storage blocks and corresponding high-level data structure entities to predict additional high-level data structure entities that are likely to be accessed. From this, the virtual storage array identifies the additional storage blocks for prefetching.
