Abstract: Material handling solutions for a mobile conveyor vehicle are provided. In one aspect, a vehicle having an infeed and output conveyor is provided, one of the conveyors being mounted non-rotatably to the vehicle and positioned by rotation-in-place of the vehicle via four wheel steering. In another aspect, a dust control cover for a telescoping conveyor is provided, having a pair of flexible flaps which are parted by a plough-shaped chute which travels through a gap between the flaps and delivers material to the lower conveyor section. In another aspect, a hydraulic fluid transmission system for a mobile conveyor vehicle is provided which makes use of at least one hollow structural element to route the hydraulic fluid. The structural member may radiate heat from the fluid for example to melt snow on the vehicle structure.

  • Patent number: 9277955
Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for the generation and control of energy delivery in a dosage to elicit a therapeutic response in diseased tissue. A balloon catheter can have electrodes attached to a power generator and controller such that the balloon and electrodes contact tissue during energy treatment. Energy selectively may be applied to tissue based on measured impedance to achieve gentle heating. Calibration of the apparatus and identification of attached accessories by computing the circuit impedance prior to energy dosage facilitate regulation of power delivery about a set point. Energy delivery can be controlled to achieve substantially uniform bulk tissue temperature distribution. Energy delivery may beneficially affect nerve activity.

  • Publication number: 20150273323
Abstract: A system, a non-transitory machine-readable storage medium storing instructions, and a computer-implemented method to cause simulation of a kinetic disaster is provided. A physical interaction with a client device is detected during gameplay of a multiplayer game that includes a virtual environment. The detected physical interaction is analyzed using a user interaction profile. A kinetic disaster simulator is selected based on the analyzing the physical interaction with the user interaction profile. Simulation of a predefined game action is caused within the virtual environment.

  • Publication number: 20150254791
Abstract: Described are methods and apparatuses, including computer program products, for automatically managing quality of human document review in a review process. The method includes receiving tagging decisions for multiple documents made by a first reviewer during a first time period and sampling a subset of these documents based on a first confidence level and first confidence interval. The method further includes receiving tagging decisions made by a second reviewer related to the subset of the documents, from which values of multiple quality-control metrics are determined. The method further includes calculating a risk-accuracy value based in part on the values of the quality-control metrics and recommending a second confidence level and a second confidence interval for sampling a second set of documents reviewed by the first reviewer during a second time period.

  • Publication number: 20150237901
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present technology provide a sweetener composition comprising stevia glycosides that may be stably soluble in an aqueous solution, and methods for their manufacture. In various embodiments, the sweetener composition may comprise at least one stevia glycoside and a natural emulsifier. The natural emulsifier of the sweetener composition may enhance the aqueous solubility of the stevia glycoside to increase the concentration of dissolved stevia glycoside relative to its inherent aqueous solubility. The sweetener composition may be stably soluble upon formulation into any edible sweetened substances.

  • Patent number: 8794175
Abstract: A rolling contact layer-by-layer assembly device comprises at least one roller, a cylinder substrate and a motor to rotate the cylinder substrate. The assembly device optionally includes at least one rinsing nozzle and air applicator. The rollers each provide a polyelectrolyte solution to the surface of the cylinder substrate, the polyelectrolyte solutions having an affinity for each other. Excess polyelectrolyte solution can be washed using the rinsing nozzle followed by a drying step prior to the application of the second polyelectrolyte solution. A plurality of bilayers is produced by the continuous application of polyelectrolyte solutions to form an LBL article such as a nano-composite article or film. The film is then removed from the surface of the cylinder substrate.

  • Patent number: 8736810
Abstract: A reflective reticle substantially reduces or eliminates pattern distortion that results from the absorption of EUV radiation while maintaining a reticle thickness consistent with industry standards. The reflective reticle includes a layer of ultra-low expansion (ULE) glass and a substrate of Cordierite having a thermal conductivity substantially larger than that of ULE glass. An aluminum layer is disposed onto a first surface of the ULE glass and a second surface of the ULE glass is polished to be substantially flat and defect-free. The Cordierite substrate can be directly bonded to the aluminum layer using anodic bonding to form the reflective reticle. Alternatively, a first surface of an intermediate Zerodur layer can be bonded to the aluminum layer, and a second aluminum layer can be used to anodically bond the Cordierite substrate to a second surface of the Zerodur layer, thereby forming the reflective reticle.

  • Publication number: 20130110013
Abstract: A device for rehabilitating a knee after knee surgery includes a support adapted to support the leg at the popliteal fossa while allowing the knee to be bent about the support with little interference from the support. A method of knee rehabilitation includes the step of supporting the patient's leg on the support and allowing the patient to control to movement in order to overcome muscle guarding. The support is carried by uprights that are spaced apart far enough to allow the patient to be positioned on his back between the uprights with the knee to be rehabilitated disposed over the support and the other leg stretched straight under the support.
