    Abstract: An irrigation system for a vertical farming structure having vertical grow towers and associated conveyance mechanisms for moving the vertical grow towers through a controlled environment, while being exposed to controlled conditions, such as lighting, airflow, humidity and nutritional support. The present disclosure describes a grow tower conveyance system that moves vertically-oriented grow towers to select positions along a grow line. An irrigation line having apertures at the select positions provides aqueous nutrient solution to the grow towers, while a gutter structure captures excess solution. In a closed loop system, the excess solution returns to a recirculation tank.

An upper and lower annular lips are in fluid communication with the plenum through upper and lower channels and are arranged to supply air to the blown film bubble. A plurality of vanes are disposed in the upper channel and extend radially inwardly from the plenum to the upper annular lip. The vanes divide the upper channel into a plurality of radially extending channel segments. Each vane has a selected length and a distal end proximal the upper annular lip, the distal end being spaced from the upper annular lip no greater than about 20% of the length of the vanes. A powered plunger extends between the vanes of each of the channel segments to vary the cross-sectional area of the channel segments.

    Abstract: A covering is provided to protect nozzles from outdoor elements while allowing the nozzle to discharge fluid when needed. The covering includes a water way portion with a cap, a lock ring, a clamp, and a flexible collar, and may also include a body cover attached to the water way portion and extending over the body of the nozzle. The cap is configured to cover the water way of the nozzle and is attached such that when pressure is applied from the water way, the cap is released allowing water to flow from the nozzle. The cap may then be reattached to the collar when the nozzle is not is use. In this way, the cover protects and covers fire nozzles up to the moment that the equipment is activated.
