  • Patent number: 10832723
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes instructing performance of a data operation on a magnetic recording tape using a primary drive, wherein the primary drive rewinds the magnetic recording tape onto a spool at a first tension. The method also includes instructing transfer of the magnetic recording tape to a rewinder drive after performance of the data operation and instructing the rewinder drive to perform a low-tension rewind operation. The low-tension rewind operation includes unspooling the magnetic recording tape from the spool and rewinding the magnetic recording tape onto the spool at a second tension lower than the first tension.

  • Publication number: 20200307874
Abstract: A tiered bowl system adapted for use as a dipping bowl, such as with salsa, for example. The bowl may have a forward portion with a rim at a first, lower, level and a rear portion with a rim of a second, higher, level. A lip may be attached to the rear portion which partially protrudes over the bowl. The tiered bowl system allows a user to dip into the bowl, and then to partially remove some of the material acquired from the dipping using the lip. The lip may be easily removable and replaceable to assist with cleaning and stacking of the bowl system.

  • Patent number: 10790830
Abstract: A tile of an FPGA fuses memory and arithmetic circuits. Connections directly between multiple instances of the tile are also available, allowing multiple tiles to be treated as larger memories or arithmetic circuits. By using these connections, referred to as cascade inputs and outputs, the input and output bandwidth of the arithmetic circuit is further increased. The arithmetic unit accesses inputs from a combination of: the switch fabric, the memory circuit, a second memory circuit of the tile, and a cascade input. In some example embodiments, the routing of the connections on the tile is based on post-fabrication configuration. In one configuration, all connections are used by the memory circuit, allowing for higher bandwidth in writing or reading the memory. In another configuration, all connections are used by the arithmetic circuit.

  • Publication number: 20200254179
Abstract: Systems, components, and methods are disclosed for withdrawing drug from a liquid drug container and transferring drug to a medical device. One or more components may have keying features so that only the correct liquid drug container and medical device are accessed, making sure the medical device is filled with the correct drug. A syringe needle hub may have keying features corresponding to keying features on a cap on the liquid drug container and on the medical device. An alignment device facilitates easy-to-operate filling of a medical device. The alignment device aligns a liquid drug container over a fill port of the medical device and can include components for moving the liquid drug container into engagement with the medical device and for automatically initiating drug transfer to the medical device. A retractable skirt or needle cover protects the needle and is unlocked only when the skirt or needle cover is close to or touching the medical device.

  • Patent number: 10698744
Abstract: Techniques that enable a third party to author and add functionality to a target application. A third party may create or author a script that encodes the functionality to be added to the target application. The script may then be provided to and executed by the target application, where execution of the script causes the functionality to be added to the target application. In certain embodiments, the added functionality may be in the form of effects that are output via the target application when the script is executed by the target application. The effects may include audio-visual effects that are displayed or output by the target application and may also include displaying data provided by a third party.

  • Publication number: 20200024739
Abstract: A showerhead utilized within a process chamber includes a first inlet for receiving a first gas from a first source at a center region of an inner plenum defined therein. A plurality of second inlets is defined along a peripheral region of the showerhead for receiving a second gas from a second source. A plurality of conduits couples the edge plenum to an outer edge of the inner plenum so as to supply the second gas to the inner plenum. The first gas creates an inner flow that flows radially outward from the center region to an outer edge of the inner plenum and the second gas supplied by the edge plenum creates a perimeter flow that flows inward from the outer edge of the inner plenum toward the center region. A stagnation point defining an adjustable radius is formed at an interface of the first gas and the second gas.

  • Publication number: 20190382309
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods of the present disclosure are generally directed to building material including particles of a polymer in an irradiated form, a cement including calcium oxide, and at least one additive including silicon dioxide. In cement paste formed from a mixture of these components, the polymer in the irradiated form may decrease porosity as compared to porosity of cement paste formed without the polymer, and a combination of the silicon dioxide and the calcium oxide may form high-density phases in the cement paste. With these characteristics, such cement paste may exhibit at least the same compressive strength as cement paste formed from the cement by itself. Thus, in certain instances, the particles of the polymer may displace a portion of the cement in a manner that maintains compressive strength while facilitating reduction of greenhouse gas emissions associated with cement paste formation.

  • Patent number: 10307029
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner that includes a suction motor and a filter assembly. The filter assembly surrounds at least part of the suction motor and has a frame to which a filter medium is attached. The filter medium is spaced from a wall of the frame such that an arcuate passageway is defined between the filter medium and the frame. A part of the air expelled by the suction motor enters a first end of the passageway and moves around the passageway in a clockwise direction. A further part of the air expelled by the suction motor enters a second end of the passageway and moves around the passageway in a counter-clockwise direction. Air within the passageway then passes through the filter medium.

  • Publication number: 20190095173
Abstract: In one embodiment, a software system automatically generates a fully functional user interface (UI) based upon any underlying schema within a relational database management system (RDBMS). The UI derives from an automated interrogation of the schema, and comprises all mode displays (e.g., browse, search, edit, add) for all tables, along with integrated mechanisms for representing, navigating and managing relationships across tables. It utilizes a hierarchical “context stack” for suspending the working state of a particular table while “drilling down” to work with related-table information and (potentially) return relevant changes to the base table. The UI presentation resolves cross-table relationships so as to supplant internal key fields from the primary table with corresponding descriptive fields derived from the related tables.
