    Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to devices, systems, and methods for extracting ureteral stent from a patient. Some embodiments are particularly directed to an extraction tool capable of extending into a urethra and retrieving a stent without scope visualization, assistance from a medical professional, and/or prescription medication (e.g., for pain). The extraction tool may be a single-use tool having an end effector configured to capture a proximal portion of a stent. In several embodiments, the extraction tool be utilized in conjunction with a stent assembly having a band coupled to a proximal retention member of the stent.

The deflector housing includes an actuator for deflecting the deflectable portion, the optical and deflector housings including corresponding connecting elements to engage one another when the member is inserted through the first channel and the deflector and optical housings are coupled.

Rotation of the thumbwheel causes longitudinal translation of an elongated medical device through a working channel of the endoscope. In some instances, the actuation mechanism includes a drive wheel and/or a roller wheel, wherein the elongate medical device is compressively positioned between the roller wheel and/or the drive wheel. Rotation of the thumbwheel may cause the drive wheel and/or the roller wheel to rotation in opposite rotational directions.
