  • Patent number: 12246253
Abstract: Techniques for improving a graphical user interface are described. In an example, a computer system receives an activity identifier of an activity in a video game and correlated locations. It builds a map of the locations from completion data indicating completion of the activity, and location data indicating where the activity was completed in the video game by other players. The identifier can be predefined in program code of the video game. Data is processed to determine where the likely location is for completing the activity in the video game. This likely location is shown as a graphical user interface element in a map.

  • Publication number: 20250077718
Abstract: Tamper-proof gateways are described. A gateway comprises a date intake module, a data transmission module, a tamper switch and a controller. The data intake module couples to one or more data generation devices. The data transmission module is configured to transmit sense information generated by the one or more data generation devices to a network. The tamper switch is configured to generate an alert signal in response to sensing tampering of the tamper-proof gateway. The controller is configured to: 1) place the tamper-proof gateway in a secure state in response to receiving the alert signal from the tamper switch, and 2) withdraw the tamper-proof gateway from the secure state in response to receiving authentication information. Withdrawing the gateway from the secure state may comprise placing the tamper-proof gateway in a first privileged state or a second privileged state.

  • Publication number: 20250067662
Abstract: Methods and systems for determining characteristics of fluids are described. A method involves illuminating a portion of a fluid by emitting light having an emission spectrum spanning at least from an infrared band to an ultraviolet band, and producing an output signal by receiving the light upon being scattered by the fluid using an optical detector. A controller may select a target sub-band of the emission spectrum based on information associated with the fluid, and may further determine a characteristic of the fluid using at least a portion of the output signal associated with the target sub-band of the emission spectrum. Alternatively, or additionally, a controller may apply an operator to the output signal, and may further determine the characteristic of the first fluid by applying a machine learning model to a result of the operator as applied to the first output signal.

  • Publication number: 20230041552
Abstract: Techniques for improving a user video game experience are described. In an example, a computer system accesses videos showing separate completions of an activity by a plurality of video game players. From a definition of the activity, it is determined that the activity is a parent of sub-activities. Links to video portions of the videos are generated, wherein each video portion corresponds to a sub-activity. A score is generated for each video portion based on a relevance of each video portion to a user. The links are presented in a user interface to the user based on the score for each video portion, wherein upon selection of a first link, the user interface displays a first video to the user starting at a first video portion showing a completion of a sub-activity by a video game player.
