  • Patent number: 6891930
Abstract: A system (10) for cataloging and detecting network faults, includes a communication interface (12) for receiving a fault message from a network. A parser (14) is connected to the communication interface (12). The parser (14) parses the fault message for an event type. An associative database (16) is connected to the parser (14) and stores a tally for the fault message.

  • Publication number: 20020019777
Abstract: A third party establishment (agent) acts as an agent to an e-commerce or catalog merchant (merchant) and processes product returns for that merchant. The agent utilizes a computer system that is linked to the merchant's computer system that enables the agent to establish authenticity of the returned item and correlation to an original purchase, further enables the agent to establish whether or the not the return is acceptable per the merchant's return policies, and enables the agent, acting on behalf of the merchant, to issue financial credit instantly to the customer, provided the requirements for returning the item are satisfied. The system has the flexibility to then allow the agent to ship the returned product back to the merchant, or, alternatively, to ship the returned product directly to the original manufacturer or supplier (manufacturer).

  • Patent number: 5215828
Abstract: Curable binders obtained by simultaneous reaction ofA) urethanes or ureas,B) acrylic or methacrylic compounds containing hydroxyl groups,C) paraformaldehyde andD) if appropriate, polyols, wherein, in the case where no polyol D) is also reacted, the reaction is carried out in the presence of an acid ion exchanger, and in the case where a polyol D) is also reacted, the reaction is carried out in the presence of an acid ion exchanger or a strong acid. These binders are suitable as coating compositions which can be cured by electron beams or by UV light.

  • Patent number: 4892568
Abstract: The liquid or gaseous substances, such as hydrogen or trichlorosilane, enntered in the gas-phase deposition of silicon may contain n-type doping impurities which can be removed by adduct formation with silicon, titanium or tin halides. The impurities can be liberated from the adducts by thermal treatment and finally removed. The halides left behind are capable of again forming adducts and are again used to remove the impurities. The process can consequently be operated cyclically and is remarkable for the low quantity of chemicals required and for its ecological harmlessness.

  • Patent number: 4515762
Abstract: Waste gases resulting from the production of silicon in connection with the ormation or decomposition of chlorosilanes, which gases always contain hydrogen chloride, can be worked up without removal of the hydrogen chloride. For this purpose, the waste gases which, after separation from the chlorosilanes, only contain hydrogen and hydrogen chloride, are subjected to combustion with addition of air and, after addition of silicon tetrachloride, the result being highly dispersed SiO.sub.2. The hydrogen chloride then remaining in the gaseous phase is returned to the process stream for production of trichlorosilane.
