  • Patent number: 11118617
Abstract: An assembly includes an elongated channel member, a clip and a leg. The clip includes a hook proximate the first end of the clip, a fastener proximate the second end of the clip, and a pivot protrusion disposed between the first and second ends of the clip. The clip is attached to the first end of the elongated channel member. The leg is oriented at a first angle to the elongated channel member and adjacent the first end of the elongated channel member. The leg includes an opening. The hook of the clip is configured for insertion into the opening of the leg. Using the fastener to move the second end of the clip toward a surface of the elongated channel member causes the hook of the clip to rotate about the pivot protrusion, thereby engaging a surface of the leg. A method is described for assembling a structure.

  • Patent number: 10920668
Abstract: A system comprising two or more thermal stores, a single store for pressurised air and a means of collecting relatively low-grade heat offers the potential for an energy storage system that achieves two desirable aims at the same time: (i) the total exergy that may be released when a given pressurised air store is discharged is maximised and (ii) the ratio between the exergy extracted and the work invested in compressing the air via a multi-stage compressor is also increased by exploiting some source of low-grade heat to augment the thermal content of several thermal stores. The system comprises a compressed air energy storage system which tends, in any one fill-empty cycle of the pressurised air store, to pump heat upwards in temperature from lower-grade stores to the highest-grade thermal store as well as a thermal capture subsystem that can augment the heat content of the lower-grade thermal stores.

  • Publication number: 20210035225
Abstract: An electronic pharmacy adjudication system and associated method and computer program product for performing adjudication service for a healthcare insurance claim is provided. The system includes an interface layer, an orchestration layer and a service and rules engine layer configured for receiving, processing and releasing an adjudication decision. The orchestration layer processes the healthcare insurance claim to generate a sequence of service calls to the service and rules engine layer to derive a sequence of partial decision results, which are derived by processing a set of parameters identified by the service call according to a corresponding subset of decisions rules in a rules repository. The sequence of partial decision results is then processed to derive the adjudication decision corresponding to the healthcare insurance claim.

  • Publication number: 20210000294
Abstract: A security system for a gas fueled device includes a gas valve and a controller operably coupled to the gas valve. A first end portion of the gas valve is operably coupled to a gas source and a second, opposite end portion of the gas valve is operably coupled to a gas fueled device. The controller includes a processor and a memory. The memory stores instructions, which when executed, cause the processor to request entry of a user code, confirm that the entered user code is authorized for use by comparing the entered user code to a plurality od authorized user codes stored on the memory, and generate a signal to cause the gas valve to open and permit the flow of gas from the gas source to the gas fueled device.

The apparatus includes a heating chamber for containing aerosolizable material and a first heater arrangement for heating aerosolizable material contained in use within the heating chamber. The first heater arrangement is arranged to heat at least two sides of the aerosolizable material in the heating chamber. There is further provided an air flow channel outside of the heating chamber that runs alongside the first heater arrangement and is arranged such that, in use, when a user draws on a device comprising the apparatus, air flows into the apparatus and through the air flow channel so as to be preheated in the air flow channel by the first heater arrangement before flowing into the heating chamber and through the aerosolizable material.

  • Patent number: 10323010
Abstract: The present invention pertains generally to the field of chemical synthesis, and more particularly to methods of chemical synthesis which include the step of preparing a substituted 10H-phenothiazine-3,7-diamine compound of Formula (1) by a step of selective alkylation by reductive amination, in which the corresponding unsubstituted diamine of Formula (4) is reacted with aldehyde/ketone, under reductive amination conditions. The present invention also relates to such methods which incorporate additional subsequent and/or preceding steps, for example, to prepare compounds of Formulae (2) and (3) from compounds of Formula (1), and to prepare compounds of Formula (4) from, for example, compounds of Formulae (5), (6), (7), (8), and (9). Compounds of Formula (1), Formula (2), and Formula (3) are useful, for example, in the treatment of diseases of protein aggregation, such as Alzheimer's disease.
