  • Publication number: 20200224101
Abstract: A system for the pyrolysis of a pyrolysis feedstock utilizes a pyrolysis reactor for producing pyrolysis products from the pyrolysis feedstock to be pyrolyzed. An eductor condenser unit in fluid communication with the pyrolysis reactor is used to condense pyrolysis gases. The eductor condenser unit has an eductor assembly having an eductor body that defines a first flow path with a venturi restriction disposed therein for receiving a pressurized coolant fluid and a second flow path for receiving pyrolysis gases from the pyrolysis reactor The second flow path intersects the first flow path so that the received pyrolysis gases are combined with the coolant fluid. The eductor body has a discharge to allow the combined coolant fluid and pyrolysis gases to be discharged together from the eductor.

  • Patent number: 10684134
Abstract: A route is selected for travel by an autonomous vehicle based on at least a level of difficulty of traversing the driving environment along that route. Vehicle signals, provided by one or more autonomous vehicles, indicating a difficulty associated with traveling a portion of a route are collected and used to predict a most favorable driving route for a given time. The signals may indicate a probability of disengaging from autonomous driving mode, a probability of being stuck for an unduly long time, traffic density, etc. A difficulty score may be computed for each road segment of a route, and then the scores of all of the road segments of the route are added together. The scores are based on number of previous disengagements, previous requests for remote assistance, unprotected left or right turns, whether parts of the driving area are occluded, etc. The difficulty score is used to compute a cost for a particular route, which may be compared to costs computed for other possible routes.

  • Publication number: 20200178849
Abstract: A method and system for heterogeneous event detection. Sensor data is obtained and divided into discrete data windows. Each data window is defined by and corresponds to a time period of the sensor data. A time-frequency representation over the time period is calculated for each data window. A filter mask is calculated based on the data window corresponding to the time-frequency representation. The filter mask is applied for reverting the time-frequency representation to a time representation, resulting in filtered data. Features, such as extrema or other inflection points, are identified in the filtered data. The features define events, and transforming the time-frequency representation back into the time domain emphasizes differences between more and less prominent frequencies, facilitating identification of heterogeneous events. The method and system may be applied to body movements of people or animals, automaton movement, audio signals, light intensity, or any suitable time-dependent variable.

  • Patent number: 10666694
Abstract: A social networking system contains information describing information about users of the social networking system and about various connections among the users. When a user of the social networking system accesses an external website, the external website may send the user a web page containing markup language with instructions to retrieve information associated with a user from a social networking system. The client device processes the annotations and sends a request for social information related to the user to a social networking system, subject perhaps to privacy settings in the social networking system. The user's browser uses the information obtained from the social networking system in response to the request to render the markup language document for display on the user's computer system. This process allows the external website to use information from the social networking system to enhance the user's experience on the external website.

  • Patent number: 10664570
Abstract: A method and system for providing a data analysis in the form of a customized geographic visualization on a graphical user interface (GUI) on a remote client computing device using only a web browser on the remote client device. The system receives a user's selected data analysis to be performed by the system for display on the remote client device. The system verifies the data access permissions of the user to render a data analysis solution customized to that particular user, and automatically prevents that user from gaining access to data analysis solutions to which that user is prohibited. The system is configured to respond to the user's data analysis request, perform the necessary computations on the server side on the fly, and send a dataset interpretable by the client device's web browser for display on the client device or on a device associated with the client device.

  • Patent number: 10659548
Abstract: Various techniques provided herein generate trigger events in an organization information distribution system. Various implementations establish a connection between an invocation device and a server using a communication network. Establishing the connection can include authenticating the invocation device to the server and/or authenticating the server to the invocation device. In response to establishing the connection to the server, one or more implementations detect a trigger event, such as the actuation of a hardware mechanism and/or a sensor detecting the trigger event without user-intervention. Some implementations capture content based on a point in time associated with when the trigger event occurs. Upon detecting the trigger event, various implementations forward a notification of the trigger event and/or the captured content.

Abstract: A method including receiving a user selection of multiple image anchors for images within a canvas, and a query for each image anchor, is provided. The method includes finding a vector for the canvas in a merged space associated with the user selection of multiple image anchors, generating a synthetic image for the canvas based on the vector for the canvas in the merged space and an image from an image database, and evaluating a synthetic detectability based on a resemblance of the synthetic image with a real image. The method also includes providing the synthetic image for the canvas to a user when the synthetic detectability is lower than a pre-selected threshold. A system and a non-transitory, computer readable medium storing instructions to perform the above method are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10615001
Abstract: In an atom probe having a specimen mount spaced from a detector, and preferably having a local electrode situated next to the specimen mount, a lens assembly is insertable between the specimen (and any local electrode) and detector. The lens assembly includes a decelerating electrode biased to decelerate ions from the specimen mount and an accelerating mesh biased to accelerate ions from the specimen mount. The decelerating electrode and accelerating mesh cooperate to divert the outermost ions from the specimen mount—which correspond to the peripheral areas of a specimen—so that they reach the detector, whereas they would ordinarily be lost. Because the detector now detects the outermost ions, the peripheral areas of the specimen are now imaged by the detector, providing the detector with a greatly increased field of view of the specimen, as much as 100 degrees (full angle) or more.
