  • Publication number: 20020134563
Abstract: A rotary hammer includes a spindle 18 which can be rotatably driven by an intermediate shaft 24 by way of a drive means. A tool holder 16 is arranged for rotation with the spindle 18, and for releasably holding a bit or tool for selective rotation and/or reciprocation. A pneumatic hammering arrangement facilitates repeated impacting of the bit or tool for reciprocation within the tool holder (16). A mode change mechanism includes a knob 18 for selectively operating the rotary hammer in any of three modes, identified as a rotary drive only mode, a hammer only mode and a rotary hammer mode.

  • Patent number: 5570776
Abstract: A switch arrangement, particularly for a router, is provided with a switch and a pivotable trigger element in a handle arrangement, which can be pivoted against spring force from a release position into a switch operating position and on which is held in a displaceable manner a locking element which in an end position prevents the displacement of the trigger element in the direction of the switch operating position and which by engagement of a gripping area by hand can be displaced against spring force into a first position, in which the trigger element can be pivoted into the switch operating position so that the locking element in a second position locks the trigger element in the switch operating position. The trigger element is substantially L-shaped and is pivotably held at the free end of one of its legs.

  • Patent number: 5349752
Abstract: A dust collection bag 1 for a power tool comprises a box-like container 10 which is separable into two parts 11, 12 along a plane of the box-like container and the interfitting portions 13, 14 of the two parts are rigid. One part 11 which is suitably a rigid plastics moulding has means 15 for connecting the container to the power tool outlet and the other part 12 has at least part of its wall surface formed of filter material 12a. The parts 11, 12 may be hinged together 16 and have connection means 17, 18 for releasably connecting them to close the container (FIG. 1).

  • Patent number: 5071069
Abstract: A hand-held high-pressure cleaner has a pump, which is driven by a universal motor. The universal motor is positioned together with the fan attached to its armature shaft in an air-tight and water-tight sealed motor chamber of the tool-casing of the high-pressure cleaner. In this motor chamber a radiator or cooler, through which cleaning fluid flows, is provided for cooling the air circulated by the fan.

  • Patent number: 4856195
Abstract: A hand-held power tool, for example a reciprocating saw, a chain saw, or a hedge trimmer, has a rear handle and a T-shaped forward handle formed by a forwardly directed strut with a crossbar. Looped side handles are detachably mounted on each side of the tool. Upper legs of the side handles are detachably connected to opposite ends of the forward handle crossbar. Lower legs of the side handles are detachably connected to bosses on opposite sides of the tool's housing adjacent its bottom. The side handles can be mounted with screws, or interlocking elements, or a combination of both. Preferably the forward handle is integrally formed with an upper part of the tool's housing. Both side handles may be omitted and the tool held by the forward and rear handles, this reducing the width of the tool.
