Abstract: A call is received at an interactive voice response (IVR) system. A voice communications session is established between the IVR system and the telephonic device. A request from the IVR system to allocate a speech resource for processing voice data of the voice communications session is received by a dynamic speech allocation (DSA) engine. Configuration data associated with a current state of the voice communications session is accessed by the DSA engine. Dynamic characteristics associated with the caller are accessed by the DSA engine. A speech resource from among multiple speech resources is selected by the DSA engine based on the current state and the dynamic characteristics. The selected speech resource is allocated to the voice communications session by enabling the IVR system to use the selected speech resource to process voice data received from the caller during the current state of the voice communications session.

Abstract: Operations included may provide receiving event registration messages from at least a portion of end users to register the end users for an event and storing the event registration messages in a registration list file. Establishing a connection for each of the portion of the plurality of end users via an interactive voice response (IVR) application may also occur. Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing users operating on Signaling System No. 7 (SS7) networks with the ability to interconnect with Advance Intelligent Networking (AIN) and, in particular, to provide database lookup for the Do Not Call (DNC) Registry, without requiring users to implement complex and expensive systems in their network. An Intelligent Call Management (ICM) structure receiving information of a dialed toll number is able to convert the information into a compatible database request to determine whether the call to the toll number is allowed to be completed based on information retrieved from the database.

Methods to achieve the foregoing can comprise: transmitting an admission request from a user of a communications device to a server for admission to a conference call, the admission request including a unique identifier; storing data unique to the communications device in a data store; relaying the unique identifier from the server to the data store; comparing the unique identifier with the data unique to the communications device; and, when the unique identifier and the previously stored data match, connecting the user directly to the conference call which includes bypassing entry of at least one conference pass code by the user.

The system chooses the best available agent to service a customer call based on the agent rankings. In the case where the customer has a preference for proximity of the agent to the customer, the system adjusts the agent rankings according to the agent's distance from the customer prior to making a selection.

One example method may include retrieving event user preference information from an event user database based on prestored user preferences. The method may also include transmitting an initial event notification message to an end user communication device based on the event user preference information to notify the end user of an upcoming event and receiving a response message from the end user communication device indicating a current availability of the end user. The user device may receive notification information via more than one communication channel and respond in a number of different ways.

The interaction site is identified based on the request. An interaction flow document is accessed for the identified interaction site, the interaction flow document including code for initiating the interaction site between a user device and the multi-channel communications system using any one of multiple different communications channels including an interactive voice response channel. A communications channel used by the user device to contact the multi-channel communications system is determined. Based on the determined communications channel, the code of the interaction flow document is translated to code executable by the multi-channel communications system to enable the multi-channel communications system and the user device to exchange communications over the determined communications channel.

The caller may be either a conference host or participant. The VRU obtains a conference code from the caller and forwards it to a proxy server, along with a request to the proxy server to enter the given caller into a conference call. The proxy server determines that the request from the VRU relates to conferencing services, and forwards the request from the VRU to a conference management system (CMS). The CMS determines whether the given caller is a conference host or a participant, and determines whether a participant has called in before the given caller and has provided a conference code that is related to the conference code entered by the given caller.
