  • Patent number: 12357801
Abstract: An expandable introducer sheath with an interlock dilator. The present technology provides an expandable sheath with a step feature inside its distal opening, and a dilator with an interlock that includes a catch surface configured to engage with the step feature and resist further relative movement so that the body of the dilator is prevented from exiting the distal end of the expandable sheath. This interlocking engagement may allow the dilator to be used to extend and maintain tension on the expandable sheath during insertion into a patient, and then to be retracted from the expandable sheath by pulling the dilator in the opposite direction. The present technology also provides a dilator hub with a spring mechanism configured to achieve and maintain a desired tension on the expandable sheath and to prevent overextension of the expandable sheath when the dilator is being inserted into the expandable sheath.

  • Publication number: 20250226119
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for initiating and sustaining a transport barrier within a magnetically confined plasma in a plasma fusion device. For a toroidal magnetic configuration, a characteristic region of the magnetic field can be established by generating a current within the plasma or by other means. The location of the characteristic region can be controlled to be suitably close to the interior walls of the plasma fusion device to allow a quantity of particles to be injected into the plasma at or inside the characteristic region. The quantity of particles can augment the density of the plasma and create a density gradient within the characteristic region, resulting in the formation of a transport barrier at or inside the characteristic region.

  • Patent number: 12355914
Abstract: Various embodiments of the invention are detection systems and methods for detecting call provenance based on call audio. An exemplary embodiment of the detection system can comprise a characterization unit, a labeling unit, and an identification unit. The characterization unit can extract various characteristics of networks through which a call traversed, based on call audio. The labeling unit can be trained on prior call data and can identify one or more codecs used to encode the call, based on the call audio. The identification unit can utilize the characteristics of traversed networks and the identified codecs, and based on this information, the identification unit can provide a provenance fingerprint for the call. Based on the call provenance fingerprint, the detection system can identify, verify, or provide forensic information about a call audio source.

  • Patent number: 12337541
Abstract: Techniques for dehumidifying powder used as print material in a powder bed fusion (PBF) three-dimensional (3-D) system are disclosed. A hopper includes one or more ultrasonic transducers (UTs) positioned at strategic locations. When activated, the UTs use sound pressure at ultrasonic frequencies to agitate the powder particles held in the hopper. The movement of the particles drives moisture trapped between the particles into one or more desiccants. In various embodiments, the desiccants may be supported by desiccators suspended in the powder, such as via the casing of the hopper. In other embodiments, the desiccants may be desiccant bags provided in a desiccant insert. The moisture accumulates in the desiccants. Among other advantages, no separate thermal source is needed to dry the powder, which can be provided directly to the PBF 3-D system via the re-coater for depositing layers to form a build piece.

  • Publication number: 20250201499
Abstract: A circuit breaker includes two sets of separable contacts in series per pole, primary contacts and secondary contacts, reducing overall let-through energy and peak pressures within the arcing chambers of the breaker during arc interruption. Opening both sets of contacts produces two arcs in series per pole, and the two series arcs increase the line to load resistance of the breaker relative to when only one set of contacts are opened. The increased line to load resistance causes the peak let-through current, Ipk, to decrease relative to what Ipk would be if only one set of contacts were to be opened. The circuit breaker also includes an internal primary vent that vents gases away from the primary contacts to another area within the circuit breaker housing, and a secondary exhaust vent that vents gases away from the secondary contacts to the exterior of the circuit breaker.
