Abstract: A nut operable for blind attachment between two rims on opposite sides of a strut channel. According to one embodiment, the nut is a spin nut operable to insert the nut into the channel, rotate and lock the nut onto the two rims on the strut. The spin nut includes a base, a pair of wings formed on one end of the base and operable to attach to two rims. The symmetrical helix is formed on the wings on the other end of the base. A shoulder extends from the symmetrical helix. A hole, such as a threaded hole is formed in the shoulder extending into the base, forming a threaded nut, according to one embodiment. A bolt may be inserted into the threaded hole to attach to a bracket, strut, plate or any suitable structure.

Abstract: An external LAA exclusion clip comprises a clipping assembly comprising first and second opposing clip struts each of the clip struts having a tissue-contacting surface and first and second bias surfaces, a bias assembly connecting the first clip strut to the second clip strut to align the first and second clip struts in a strut plane passing through the tissue-contacting surface. The bias assembly comprises at least one first bias spring connected to the first bias surface of the first clip strut and to the first bias surface of the second clip strut and at least one second bias spring connected to the second bias surface of the first clip strut and the second bias surface of the second clip strut. The first bias spring and the second bias spring are configured to permit movement of the first and second clip struts in the strut plane.

Abstract: A multiple-firing clip device includes a hollow shaft defining a lateral opening communicating with an environment and a distal shaft portion between the lateral opening and a distal end opening. A shuttle longitudinally moves on the shaft and comprises a shuttle body defining a lumen surrounding the shaft, a snare, and a snare-extender slide defining a snare track to form a snare travel path in which the snare is disposed from the body and through the track and a portion of the body. The slide moves along a given extent defining a slide distance and a distal end and movement of the slide to the distal end shortens the snare travel path to extend the snare portion through the lateral opening, through the distal shaft portion, and distally out from a distal side of the body longer than the given extent to secure a suture with the snare.

Abstract: A method is disclosed, comprising: aggregating a plurality of sets of transactions, each set of transactions comprising transactions related to an account-merchant pairing; determining variables characterizing a recurrence period based on transaction dates of the transactions in the each set; predicting the recurrence period for a transaction related to the account-merchant pairing for each customer of the plurality of customers; aggregating another set of transactions between the plurality of customers and the merchant; evaluating a distribution of the recurrence period for each customer within range of a distant point; and based on the evaluation of the distribution of the recurrence period for each customer, generating a probability of the merchant having a recurrent transaction with the customer. The account-merchant pairing may comprise a customer account and a merchant of a plurality of customers and merchants.

Abstract: A heat exchanger for a refrigerant circuit of an air conditioning system, with a heat exchanger block with a first fluid channel as a refrigerant channel for the flow of refrigerant as a first fluid and with a second fluid channel for the flow of a second fluid therethrough. The first fluid channel and the second fluid channel are in thermal contact for the exchange of heat. A third fluid channel is provided, which is provided as a second refrigerant channel for the flow of refrigerant therethrough, wherein a second refrigerant inlet and a second refrigerant outlet are provided, which are in fluid communication with the third fluid channel, wherein the first fluid channel is in direct thermal contact with the third fluid channel as an internal heat exchanger for the exchange of heat between the refrigerant in the first fluid channel with the refrigerant in the third fluid channel.

Abstract: A method and a device are for identifying objects from camera images, e.g. for vehicle driver assistance systems. The method involves: capturing a series of camera images, determining a plurality of planes in space by associating adjacent corresponding features in at least two consecutive camera images with a given one of the planes, determining a relative translation vector of a plane, and identifying dynamic objects in the camera images based on the relative translation vector of an associated plane.

Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve includes a frame, a valve, and an expansion element. The frame is movable between contracted and expanded configurations and includes first struts and second struts non-hingedly coupled together. The second struts are configured to pivot relative to the first struts as the frame moves between the contracted and expanded configurations. The valve is coupled to the frame and includes leaflets. The expansion element extends through a lumen of the first struts. The expansion element is slidable relative to the lumen of the first struts and is configured to move the frame incrementally from the contracted configuration and the expanded configuration and from the expanded configuration to the contracted configuration.

Abstract: A U-shaped clamp to attach or snap a conduit or pipe to a slotted structural member. The U-shaped clamp includes a bottom portion, a first side having a first wing connected to the bottom portion; a second side having a second wing connected to the bottom portion thereby forming a U-shaped structure with the first and second sides. The at least one wing snaps into a strut ledge or a rolled edge of the structural member when in an engaged position. The structural member may be a strut or a receiver. The wings engage and snap into curled ends or lips on sides of the strut and thus may adapt the pipe clamp to the strut. Alternatively, the U-shaped clamp may snap into suitably sized strut ledges or a rolled edges on the structural member.

Abstract: A recapturable external LAA exclusion clip system includes a clip comprising first and second clip struts, at least one of the struts having a connector interface comprising a first portion of a lock, and a delivery device comprising a handle and an end effector. The handle comprises jaw and lock controls. The end effector is connected to the handle and comprises a clevis and first and second jaws. The jaws are connected to the clevis and operatively connected to the jaw control to actively articulate at least one of the jaws with respect to the other. At least one of the jaws has a connector comprising a second portion of the lock operatively connected to the lock control to removably lock with the first portion of the lock. The first and second portions of the lock have a locked state and are configured to unlock the locked state upon actuation of the lock control.

The method involves: capturing a series of camera images, detecting a potential collision object in at least one image, determining corresponding features in two consecutive images in the image region of the detected potential collision object, associating the corresponding features with a plane, and validating the potential collision object when the associated plane corresponds to a back plane or a side plane.

Abstract: A trust platform receives transaction review values from a plurality of marketplace providers, each transaction review value associated with a person-to-person transaction. The platform weighs each transaction review value to generate a weighted transaction review value based on a characteristic of the transaction. A baseline individual trust score is generated based on an aggregation of the weighted transaction review values which reflects a “trust” attributable to a user. The trust platform is also configured to adjust new transaction review values based on the baseline individual trust score to render such review more accurate.
