  • Patent number: 11798554
Abstract: Techniques for dynamic contact ingestion are described. A system may interpret a voice command received from a first device based on contact data or other information associated with a second device connected to the first device. For example, when a data connection is made between the first device and the second device, the first device may receive the contact data and send the contact data to a remote system. The remote system may temporarily associate the contact data with the first device, enabling the remote system to interpret a voice command received from the first device using the contact data. The remote system may use the contact data to perform disambiguation, enabling the remote system to initiate outbound calls, announce inbound calls, and/or the like. When the second device is disconnected from the first device, the remote system may remove the association between the contact data and the first device.

  • Patent number: 11768589
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for creating digital flash cards that include links to content from one or more digital content sources, referred to herein as a flash card mode. The mode allows a user to create a digital flash card by selecting a portion of a digital content source and performing a create command. The created flash card includes at least two virtual sides and a first side of the flash card identifies the location of the selected portion of digital content. The location may be identified, for example, by a canonical fragment identifier (CFI). Text can then be entered for a second side of the flash card. Flash cards can be shared with other users, and because the flash cards only identify locations of content within digital content sources, the mode is well-suited to handle sources including digital rights management (DRM) protection, for example.

  • Publication number: 20230145487
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed related to low-power dynamic offset calibration of an error amplifier. An analog linear voltage regulator circuit tracks changes between a reference voltage and a regulated voltage to keep the regulated voltage as close as possible to the reference voltage. The analog linear voltage regulator includes an error amplifier that measures the error between the reference and regulated voltages and feedback circuitry. The error amplifier and feedback circuitry should be calibrated to correct for any offset within the circuits. The described offset calibration technique not only compensates for the offset in the error amplifier but also cancels any mismatch in the feedback network. During operation, conditions such as temperature and supply voltage may vary causing the offset to change. The technique is low power and dynamically cancels the offset even when the linear regulator is operating to supply the desired voltage.

  • Patent number: 11636263
Abstract: An editor service receives a textual input. The editor service provides the textual input to a rule-based grammar checker to obtain a grammar checker result. The editor service also provides the textual input to a machine learning (ML) fluency model that checks the textual input for errors and provides a ML model result. The editor service aggregates the grammar checker result and the ML model result and generates an editor service output based upon the aggregated results. A representation of the editor service result is provided to the client computing system for surfacing through a user interface.

  • Patent number: 11544467
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to processing operations configured to provide a linguistic-based approach to evaluating repetition in content of an electronic document. The approach of the present disclosure is about detecting terms/words/phrases that are likely to be perceived as being repetitious by native speakers of a language rather than just identifying the occurrence of identical words or strings in a document as done by traditional language checks. Processing of the present disclosure detects and evaluates terms or phrases using positive linguistic evidence derived from evaluation of linguistic relationships between words in a string in syntactic ways. This results in more accurate and efficient determination as to whether a term is truly repetitious at the linguistic level as compared with traditional language checks.

  • Patent number: 11501854
Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and apparatus for electronically drawing and editing representations of chemical structures using an intuitive user interface. This user interface, the context-aware virtual keyboard, makes it faster and easier to draw and edit chemical structure representations by guiding the user through the sequence of steps required to produce the representation in a context-based, non-linear fashion. The context-based virtual keyboard allows a user to quickly create graphical representations of complex chemical structures by using the structure itself as a basis for presenting efficient options for subsequent drawing/editing steps. Different possible and/or likely actions (e.g., edits to a chemical structure being drawn) are presented to the user based on a selected navigation position on the drawing.

  • Patent number: 11476103
Abstract: A mass spectrometer includes a control system arranged to assess an operational state of the mass spectrometer. When a fault is detected, the control system assigns the fault to one of a plurality of categories, including a first category of faults which may be attempted to be rectified automatically by the mass spectrometer, a second category of faults which may be attempted to be rectified by the user, and a third category of faults which may only be attempted to be rectified by a service engineer. When a fault is assigned to the first category of faults, the control system initiates an attempt to automatically rectify the fault. When a fault is assigned to the second category of faults, the control system causes information relating to the fault to be displayed to the user, including data indicative of the fault and data one or more steps to be taken by the user to attempt to rectify the fault (2000).
