  • Patent number: 12241855
Abstract: A method of electrochemical sensing includes providing an electrochemical sensor comprising a glassy carbon substrate and gold nanoparticles located on a surface of the glassy carbon substrate; and sensing electrochemically a compound selected from the group consisting of polyfluoroalkyl compounds or perfluoroalkyl compounds using the electrochemical sensor. PFOA quantification was performed by Square Wave Adsorptive Cathodic Stripping Voltammetry (SW-AdCSV) in test solutions with a 100-5,000 ppt concentration. The concentration has a linear relationship with the stripping current within this range. Analysis of tap and groundwater samples performed by additions method demonstrated precision and accuracy above 95%. These electrodes show stability throughout 200 cycles, and reproducibility across similarly prepared but different electrodes above 97.5%.

  • Publication number: 20250018940
Abstract: Vehicles and related systems and methods are provided for mitigating lane departures, alternatively referred to as lane keeping assistance. One method of assisting vehicle operation involves determining a control trajectory for the vehicle over a prediction horizon that satisfies one or more steering angle constraints for operating a steering system of the vehicle based at least in part on a current steering angle, a first difference between the control trajectory and a reference lateral trajectory for the vehicle and a second difference between the control trajectory and a lane boundary, for example, by minimizing a weighted sum of the differences. The method continues by determining a steering angle command for the vehicle based at least in part on the control trajectory and autonomously operating one or more actuators onboard the vehicle in accordance with the steering angle command prior to the vehicle crossing the lane boundary.

  • Publication number: 20240427753
Abstract: A performance measurement indexing system indexes a data store containing data entries indicative of message processing by an application. The application includes a plurality of checkpoints, and the data store contains data logged upon each message traversing the checkpoints in the application. The performance measurement indexing system determines which data entries relate to messages that satisfy a delay condition, and limits queries run on the data store to those data entries, thereby increasing the speed and efficiency with which queries can be serviced.

  • Publication number: 20240408342
Abstract: A respiratory mask system includes a mask interface and a headgear assembly. The headgear assembly is adjustable and comprised of an elastic portion, a non-elastic portion and a restriction mechanism configured to provide a force resisting movement of the non-elastic portion when the elastic portion is extended. There is a support beam coupled to the non-elastic portion and extending along a portion of the headgear that is curved along its longitudinal extent. In this way particular seal modules can be comfortably fitted to a user and any blow off force is mitigated. A particular example of the respiratory mask system includes provision for removable attachment between the seal and a mask frame, the mask frame and a yoke of the headgear; and between a conduit and the mask frame.

  • Publication number: 20240003797
Abstract: Embodiments determine the density of materials and objects imaged using computed tomography (CT). An embodiment co-images a material of unknown density with a calibrant of known density. The digitally reconstructed CT images are segmented into the unknown material phase and the known material phases of the calibrant. Image intensity histograms of the unknown material are obtained. Using the known calibrant densities, an intensity-density mapping is calculated to determine the unknown material density based on its measured CT intensity. The method described herein utilizes a novel deconvolution of the intensity histograms to correct for CT imaging artifacts that impact the material phase intensities. The density of micronized materials and features such as particles, microspheres, porosity, and multiphase composites which are difficult to measure with conventional techniques can be measured using the embodiments.
