  • Patent number: 4442108
Abstract: 1-(3,4-Dialkoxybenzyl)-6,7-dialkoxyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro- and 3,4-dihydroisoquinolines wherein the alkoxy groups in the benzyl ring are different from those in the isoquinoline nucleus and one contains from 2 to 6 carbon atoms while the other contains from 3 to 6 carbon atoms are useful in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease. A typical embodiment is 1-(3,4-diethexybenzyl)-6,7-diisopropoxy-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline hydrochloride.

  • Patent number: 4422332
Abstract: An echography device with dynamic focusing and sectorial scanning, comprising a transmitting portion (16) and a receiving portion (18) constituting piezoelectric transducers (4), juxtaposed in a form of a linear bar (2), each transducer (4) being associated with a delay line (26,32), the delays applied when a wave is being received being determined as a function of a reference dependent on the delays when the wave is being retransmitted and stored in a digital memory (34), the said reference being fed into a frequency adjustable oscillator (42) associated with a servo-device (38, 56, 54) through a computer.

  • Patent number: 4091647
Abstract: Disclosed is a machine for chisel forming the teeth on parts of revolution, and in particular wheels of cigarette lighters or the like, comprising a programmer whose drum is rotated permanently by a first linkage engaged with the drive shaft of the machine, a spindle receiving and rotating the workpiece to be toothed, means for holding this workpiece during the forming of its teeth, a device for storing and presenting the workpieces, a system for imparting rotation to the spindle and a chisel-holder striking device comprising a chisel fixed on a back-and-forth moving device keeping the chisel engaged with the driving means which require it, upon the striking of each tooth, to describe an imposed path causing it to penetrate forcefully, under pressure, into the workpiece to form the hollow of the tooth by working up the material.

  • Patent number: 4017812
Abstract: In the synchronous detection signals of frequency Fo immersed in a noise, an auxiliary signal is produced having a period 1/2 Fo and in the form of a rectified symmetrical wave, by rectifying a symmetrical wave of period 1/Fo. The signal to be filtered is multiplied by the auxiliary signal and synchronous filtering or synchronous detection on the frequency Fo is performed on the signal obtained after the above-mentioned multiplication. Preferably the auxiliary signal is produced in the form of a rectified sinusoidal wave and a square wave reference signal from which the above-mentioned symmetrical wave is derived, having the period 1/Fo, is also used to control the synchronous detection or the synchronous filtering.

  • Patent number: 3935276
Abstract: Process for the synthesis of methyl mercaptan by the reaction of methanol with hydrogen sulfide wherein a high degree of conversion and enhanced selectivity for the product are obtained by dividing the quantity of catalyst utilized in the reaction into a minimum of three separate portions to form a plurality of reactive catalyst zones and introducing the total amount of hydrogen sulfide reagent into the first of such catalyst zones and thereafter introducing equivalent or alternatively different amounts of the methanol reagent into the consecutive interconnected catalytic zones to react with hydrogen sulfide flowing therethrough while maintaining a molar ratio of hydrogen sulfide to methanol between 1.1 and 2.5.
