  • Publication number: 20120007663
Abstract: An integrated circuit includes an electronic circuit and a device for adjustment of the operating parameter value of the electronic circuit. The electronic circuit comprises a resistive stage. The device comprises a first circuit portion adapted to adjust said operating parameter when the device is active and the electronic circuit is inactive, and adapted to be inactive when the electronic circuit is active, and a second circuit portion adapted to determine the active or inactive state of the device in response to the value of an external control signal. The integrated circuit comprises a first external terminal for the connection to ground, a second external terminal for inputting said control signal, a further external terminal for inputting a further external signal and a deactivation circuit driven by said further external signal to deactivate the electronic circuit when the device is active.

  • Patent number: 7489196
Abstract: Precision and reliability of a current limited mode output power control of an RF amplifier is enhanced by sensing the base current of the current controlled output power transistor. The base current is compared to a control current that is normalized by scaling it as a function of the current gain of a bipolar junction transistor of similar characteristics as the output power transistor. Fabrication process spread of current gain figures of bipolar junction transistors is effectively compensated. Moreover, by using a band-gap temperature compensation control current that is eventually ?-scaled before comparing it with the sensed base current of the output power transistor, the output power may be effectively controlled and maintained constant over temperature as well as process spread variations.

  • Publication number: 20060214830
Abstract: A selector switch may be controlled by a single-ended control signal for steering a current through a load or through an auxiliary line. The selector switch may include a first terminal to be coupled to the load, and a second terminal to be connected to the auxiliary line, and two analog switches coupled to respective ones of the first and second terminals and configured to implement a single pole double throw switch so that a conduction or non-conduction state is determined by the single-ended control signal for steering the current through the load or the auxiliary line. The selector switch may also include a circuit defining a positive feedback loop controlling the two analog switches.
