  • Patent number: 9519890
Abstract: A calendaring-oriented computer program displays a meeting to which a user of the program has been invited to participate. The program visually indicates that a first other user who has also been invited to participate in the meeting has posted first update information relevant to the meeting and that the user is permitted to view. The program permits the user to post second update information relevant to the meeting and to specify a second other user who has also been invited to participate in the meeting as being permitted to view the second update information. The program permits the user to schedule a time at which the second update information is to be posted. The program permits the user to view the first update information and to post the second update information regardless of whether the user accepts, delegates, or declines, or has accepted, delegated, or declined, the meeting.

  • Publication number: 20160236506
Abstract: A replaceable sleeve configured to cover a writing instrument. The writing instrument has a primary end located opposite a secondary end. The secondary end of the writing instrument has an outer ridge having a step. The sleeve has an end having a secondary opening located opposite another end having a primary opening. The primary opening of the sleeve receives the primary end of the writing instrument. The primary end of the writing instrument is configured to protrude from the secondary opening of the sleeve. An inner ridge is connected to an inner wall surface of the sleeve. When the sleeve covers a substantial amount of the writing instrument, the secondary end of the replaceable sleeve conforms around the outer ridge of the writing instrument. The outer ridge has a step that interlocks with the inner ridge of the sleeve, thereby, retaining the sleeve on the writing instrument.

  • Patent number: 8858431
Abstract: A vaginal speculum is provided that has an upper arm with a handle and jaw. A cross-sectional shape of a longitudinally extending portion may be constant along its entire longitudinal length so that the height of the portion is likewise constant along its length. Right and left side flanges may extend downward from the longitudinally extending portion and a tip of the jaw. The distance between the outer surfaces of the right and left side flanges in the lateral direction may be constant along their entire lengths in the longitudinal direction. A lower arm with a jaw and handle may be included and arranged with the upper arm so that their relative position to one another can be modified.

  • Patent number: 8626356
Abstract: Enabling the remote engine starter user to address accidental start obstacles resulting from specific vehicle enclosure structures. Remotely starting an internal combustion engine with onboard computer control of a vehicle enclosed within a confined enclosure that comprises determining a set of safe distances for each of the front, rear and top of the vehicle, respectively, from the front, rear and top of the enclosure. Then, it is sensed whether all of the distances of the front, rear and top of the vehicle from the enclosure are respectively further than each of the set of safe distances. The remote starting of the engine of the vehicle is enabled only if at least one of the distances is further than it's safe distance.

  • Patent number: 8463799
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to query processing and consolidation of query results. Multiple queries may be submitted to one or more search engines, with each query having the same or different returned query items with the same or different sorting arrangement of the returned query items. The returned query items are consolidated into a single sorted set, with the sort being based upon a logical assessment and comparison of the multiple returned query items.

  • Publication number: 20120117020
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to use of sensors for monitoring and gathering data and applications for processing and communicating the gathered data in real-time. The sensor data provides an insight into the daily activities of the user. Analysis of the data supports maintenance of health on a granular level. For each sensor, data is gathered and processed in real-time, including correlating the sensor data with an electronic events schedule. An analysis of the data is then communicated to the user in real-time. Data output is used to pro-actively notify, predict, and/or identify when the user needs to take an action to maintain the current or future sensor data within defined limits.

Abstract: The present invention relates to holding rack for a rifle comprising of a dining chair, a first hook attached to the backrest and extending rearward, and a second hook attached to the stretcher and offset laterally from the first hook, with both hooks being covered with a soft material to protect the rifle. The preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a dining chair having a seat, a stretcher and a backrest, a first hook attached to the back rest and extending rearward thereform; and a second hook attached to the stretcher and extending rearward therefrom, the second hook offset laterally from the first hook; whereby the rifle is engaged in suspension by the first hook through its trigger guard and its barrel rests against the second hook. Both the first and second hooks are covered with a soft material to protect the rifle. The spacing and angle of the hook themselves and the angle at which the hooks attach to the chair being critical for the rifle to rest safely.
