  • Patent number: 6275517
Abstract: A wireless communication apparatus performs communication while changing frequencies according to a frequency hopping pattern, using a memory for storing a plurality of frequencies and designating a frequency to be used in the communication out of the stored plurality of frequencies stored in said memory means based on a first frequency hopping pattern. Depending on whether error is detected in information including data based on a second frequency hopping pattern and transmitted from another wireless communication apparatus, a frequency may be rewritten in the memory. Alternatively, time information in each received frame can be counted or not for use in reading out frequency information from a memory.

  • Patent number: 5703936
Abstract: In a telephone exchange apparatus according to this invention, a message or data can be registered in an information medium such as an electronic notebook at a location away from a telephone, and the information medium is attached to the telephone to load the registered data. With this simple operation, data can be registered in a plurality of telephone exchange apparatuses, or a message can be displayed on telephones, thereby preventing registration from being forgotten, and informing a message.

  • Patent number: 5467367
Abstract: A telephone exchange system of this invention has a terminal connected to an extension by radio. As a radio communication modulation method, a spread spectrum method is used. A speech signal received from a line by the telephone exchange system is exchanged by an exchange switch, and is supplied to a data conversion unit. The data conversion unit causes a serial/parallel converter to covert a serial input signal into a parallel signal. The converted parallel signal is subjected to spread-spectrum modulation in units of parallel bits. The modulated signal bits are added to each other by an adder, and the sum signal is multiplexed on a carrier signal. The multiplexed signal is transmitted to the terminal. Upon reception of the signal, the terminal causes a phase synchronization circuit to generate an inverse spread code corresponding to a spread code, and synchronized with the reception signal, and inversely spreads the reception signal using the generated inverse spread code.

  • Patent number: 5467395
Abstract: When there is an incoming call to a digital line and the digital line is to be connected to a digital terminal, a CPU connects the line and the terminal directly. When the digital line is to be connected to an analog individual line telephone or the like, the line and the terminal are connected via a level controller. The level controller shifts, to an appropriate level, the level of a voice signal represented by data received from the digital line, and the analog individual line telephone or the like connected to the extension receives the voice signal shifted to the appropriate level.

  • Patent number: 5361299
Abstract: An exchange apparatus which encloses a plurality of extension terminals and connects the extension terminal designated by a signal from a line wire to the line wire, includes: a memory to store an attribute of the extension terminal; a comparator to compare an attribute designated by the signal from the line wire such as a transmission side terminal with the attribute of the extension terminal stored in the memory; and a changing circuit for changing the attribute of the extension terminal stored in the memory so as to coincide with the attribute designated by the signal from the line wire in the case where the result of the comparison by the comparator indicates that the attributes differ. Even if an attribute such as a data transmission rate or the like of the transmission side terminal differs from an attribute of the data terminal connected to the extension, communication can be started without disconnecting a call and the operating efficiency can be raised.

  • Patent number: 5331667
Abstract: In a telephone exchange apparatus which accommodates digital communication liens and employs a slave synchronization system in which a clock is extracted from a signal received from the network, an exchange switch is operated in synchronism with the extracted clock so as to prevent data omission caused by a difference between operating frequencies of a network and an exchange apparatus. If there is a phase difference between a pre-switching clock and a post-switching clock when the extracted clocks are switched upon changing communication lines, the postswitching clock is delayed by the phase difference between the two clocks so as to cause the phase of the post-switching clock to coincide with the phase of the pre-switching clock.

  • Patent number: 5305348
Abstract: A spread-spectrum communication apparatus has code generators for generating spread-spectrum and reverse spread-spectrum codes. Rather than using a code generator which differs for every apparatus, the code generators have an identical construction for every apparatus. Specifically, each apparatus is provided with a programmable ROM storing a value specific to each apparatus. When power is introduced to the apparatus, the value specific to the apparatus is read out of the programmable ROM first. Each apparatus generates a code, which is specific to the apparatus, used in spreading and reverse-spreading in dependence upon the specific value that has been read out of the ROM.

  • Patent number: 5291549
Abstract: A private branch exchange which accommodates a plurality of extension terminals and which is arranged to effect line exchanges by specifying a destination terminal from among the extension terminals on the basis of a called-subaddress information element contained in incoming information. When the incoming information containing the called-subaddress information element is received, it is determined whether the called-subaddress information element is contained in the incoming information. If there is no called-subaddress information element, the call is refused. It is also determined whether connection with an extension terminal is possible or impossible, on the basis of the received incoming information. If the connection is impossible, information to that effect is transmitted to a calling party.

  • Patent number: 5095504
Abstract: In a telephone system for performing channel control among telephones connected to a plurality of telephone lines, a call during a conversation between first and second telephones is placed on hold by a hold request from, say, the second telephone, and the call is capable of being transferred to a third telephone. It is also possible for the holding first telephone to instruct that the holding state be cancelled during the call transfer processing. When such a hold cancellation input from the first telephone is detected, the second telephone that requested the hold is so notified by an alarm. If the first telephone is subsequently hung up, the holding call is released and the connecting line of the first telephone is opened. When the second telephone cancels the holding state, the holding call is released and communication between the first and second telephones is restored.
