  • Patent number: 8276221
Abstract: A method for providing a cushion and tub assembly is provided and comprises obtaining a cushion with magnets within the cushion. The method also comprises obtaining a metallic member, the metallic member magnetically attracting to the magnets in the cushion. The metallic member is permanently secured to a hidden surface of a tub at a location corresponding to a desired location of the cushion on the exposed surface of the tub. The tub and cushion are provided with a cushion being releasably connectable to the exposed surface of the tub at the desired location by attraction forces between the magnets and the metallic member through the tub wall.

  • Patent number: 8235360
Abstract: A fluid jet for injecting fluids in the liquid of a tub through a throughbore in a wall of the tub comprises a gas injector with a hollow body having a gas inlet receiving a gas flow from a pressurized gas source. A gas outlet produces a flux of gas with the gas flow. A liquid injector comprises a hollow body with a liquid inlet connected to a pressurized liquid source to receive a liquid flow therefrom. A liquid outlet produces a flux of liquid with the liquid flow, the gas injector being received in the hollow body of the liquid injector, for the gas outlet and the liquid outlet to form a common jet outlet. The liquid injector is secured to the wall of the tub opposite the throughbore such that fluids exiting the common jet outlet are directed concurrently through the throughbore into the liquid of the tub.

  • Publication number: 20110252558
Abstract: A gas and liquid massage system for a tub comprises jets. Each jet has a gas injector and a liquid injector. The jets concurrently inject liquid and gas. A liquid circuit feeds a flow of liquid to the liquid injectors. A gas circuit feeds a flow of gas to the gas injectors. A sequencer manifold in the gas circuit selectively closes the gas supply to some of the jets to intermittently inject gas with the injected liquid. A massage system controller operates the sequencer manifold in selectively closing the gas supply to some of the jets. A method for injecting fluids into the liquid of the tub is also provided.

  • Patent number: 7665158
Abstract: An air jet of an air massage system used with a bathtub having a wall defining opposite visible and hidden surfaces and defining a number of openings through the bathtub wall. The air jet comprises a hollow body having opposed inlet and outlet ends and a unidirectional flow device disposed therebetween. The outlet end is mounted directly to the hidden surface of the bathtub wall opposite one of the openings. The inlet end is connected to a source of pressurized air. The unidirectional flow device allows pressurized air therethrough only in a direction from the inlet to the outlet end and then through the opening in the bathtub wall, thereby preventing water in the bathtub from conveying through the air jet when the source of pressurized air is not in use. The outlet end comprises a flange provided on a downstream side thereof with recesses for receiving an adhesive for securing the flange to the hidden surface of the bathtub wall.
