  • Patent number: 11038571
Abstract: A wireless communication node and method therein for generating beamformed signals by means of backscattering in a wireless communication network are disclosed. The wireless communication node receives a radio frequency signal at a plurality A of antennas. Each antenna is coupled to one of a number of impedance matrices by one of a plurality A of switches. The wireless communication node generates a first baseband signal based on data symbols to be transmitted in a baseband signal generator. The states of each switch are controlled based on its specific switch control signal such that each antenna impedance is selected among a number M of impedances, and thereby the received RF signal at each antenna is modulated by the first baseband signal with its specific phase and reflected. The beamformed signals are generated by the plurality A of antennas by reflecting the modulated RF signals from each antenna.

  • Patent number: 11025463
Abstract: A first network node (NN) and a method therein for generation and transmission of a Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) signal to a second NN. The first and second NNs are operating in a communications network. The first NN generates a third bit stream x(n) from a first bit stream d(n) of data for transmission, wherein each output bit comprised in the third bit stream depends on a transition in bit values between two input bits from the first bit stream. Further, the first NN generates a fourth bit stream y(n) from the third bit stream by expanding the third bit stream by a predetermined factor M. By means of a CPM signal generating module, the first NN generates a BPSK signal based on the fourth bit stream. Furthermore, the first NN transmits the BPSK signal to an OFDM signal receiving module of the second NN.

  • Publication number: 20210136682
Abstract: A method of a network node adapted to transmit a wake-up signal for waking up one or more wireless communication receivers is disclosed, as well as a method for the wireless communication receiver, such network node and wireless communication receiver, and computer programs for implementing the methods. Each wireless communication receiver is comprised in a wireless communication device and is associated with a wake-up radio adapted to wake up the wireless communication receiver in response to detecting the wake-up signal. An indication of a maximum frequency error of the wake-up radio associated with the wireless communication receiver is acquired such that a non-data transmission bandwidth for exclusive use by the wake-up signal can be determined. The wake-up signal is transmitted over a wake-up signal transmission frequency interval having a wake-up signal transmission bandwidth, wherein the wake-up signal transmission bandwidth is less than, or equal to, the non-data transmission bandwidth.
