  • Publication number: 20210029677
Abstract: A cell2 configured by only a DL CC2 being a resource for downlink is configured. The cell2 does not include a resource for uplink, that is, a UL CC to be associated with the DL CC2 by a DL/UL link. The link information indicating the above is notified a communication terminal device by a base station device using the DL CC2. A DL CC1 and a UL CC constitute a cell1. The downlink communication from the base station device to the communication terminal device is performed using the cell1 and the cell2, and the uplink communication from the communication terminal device to the base station device is performed using the cell1.

  • Publication number: 20210014649
Abstract: There is a problem that when a closed subscriber group (CSG) cell available to subscribers is installed in a macro cell area, communication cannot be performed due to the interference between a macro cell and the CSG cell in an area thereof. The CSG cell that is provided in the CSG cell area and transmits a downlink synchronization signal using a radio frame assigns control signals to a first subframe and a second subframe among a plurality of subframes constituting the radio frame, and the macro cell that is provided in the macro cell area and transmits a downlink synchronization signal using the radio frame assigns control signals to a third subframe and a fourth subframe, which are shifted from the first subframe and the second subframe by a predetermined number of subframes, respectively, among the plurality of subframes constituting the radio wave, the CSG cell and the macro cell being configured to perform transmission in synchronization with each other.

  • Patent number: 10893471
Abstract: A communication system includes a base station configuring an energy saving cell (ES cell) and a base station configuring a compensation cell (Comp cell). The ES cell is switchable between a switch-on state and a switch-off state. The Comp cell compensates for the coverage of the ES cell when the ES cell is in the switch-off state. Before the Comp cell starts compensating for the coverage, for example, before the ES cell decides to switch itself off in Step ST2101, in Step ST2201 for example, the base station configuring the ES cell notifies the UE being connected with the ES cell of the information about a Comp cell, for example, a Comp cell list.

  • Patent number: 10893421
Abstract: The present invention has an object to provide a communication system capable of appropriately providing services while improving a data rate using carrier aggregation. In Step ST1408, of a cell1 and a cell2 of a base station A, RRC connection is established between the cell1 and a UE, and the cell1 becomes a primary cell (PCell). Then, in Step ST1418, the cell1 determines to configure the cell2 as a secondary cell (SCell) to be aggregated with the own cell. Then, the cell1 notifies the UE of the above in Step ST1419. Upon this notification, the operation of restricting access to the cell2 from the UE is stopped by an MME, and thereafter, communication between the UE and the cell2 is started in Step ST1422.

  • Publication number: 20200336265
Abstract: A mobile communication system includes a plurality of eNBs that perform radio communication with an UE and an MCE that controls the eNBs. The MCE indicates an MBSFN subframe (MCE) serving as radio resources that transmit a reference signal for power measurement to the UE less frequently than normal to the eNB, the eNB, in addition to the MBSFN subframe (MCE) indicated by the MCE, designates the MBSFN subframe (eNB) serving as the radio resources that transmit a reference signal to the UE less frequently than normal, and in the MBSFN subframe (MCE) and the MBSFN subframe (eNB) the reference signal is transmitted to the UE. In this manner, the reference signal for measuring a power can be transmitted less frequently than normal, and a power consumption of the infrastructure can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20200305075
Abstract: A mobile terminal 3 judges whether or not the mobile terminal is able to make a transition to a DTX period during Active, and, when judging that the mobile terminal is able to make a transition to a DTX period during Active, notifies a base station 2 to that effect. If the base station 2 judges that the mobile terminal is able to make a transition to a DRX period during Active when triggered by the notification from the mobile terminal 3, the base station temporarily stops supply of electric power to the data transmission processing units and the data reception processing units of the mobile terminal 3.

  • Publication number: 20200162975
Abstract: A UE in an idle state selects any of a group A, to which a cell of which coverage its own device is in, belongs and a group different from the group A, for example, a group B, and then measures cells belonging to the selected group for selecting a cell being a re-selection destination. A UE in a connected state selects any of the group B to which a cell connected with the UE belongs and a group different from the group B, for example, the group A, and measures cells belonging to the selected group for handover.

  • Publication number: 20200120633
Abstract: The present invention has an object to provide a communication system capable of avoiding congestion in downlink communication or uplink communication and a shortage of radio resources arising therefrom. In the present invention, in a communication system including a normal user equipment (normal UE) that performs human to human communication and a machine type communication device (MTCD) that performs machine to machine communication, a base station device transmits a paging message to the normal UE and the MTCD for calling the normal UE and the MTCD. The paging message contains, for example, an equipment identity (UE-ID). A maximum number of equipment identities (UE-IDs) that can be accommodated within this paging message is set individually for the normal UE and the MTCD. Alternatively, the paging message contains a calling indicator in place of the equipment identity of the MTCD (UE-ID of MTCD).

  • Publication number: 20200120515
Abstract: A communication system is provided that, if a large number of small cells are installed, is capable of configuring an operation suitable for small cells through simple operation and administration. If a small cell installed in Step ST1401 judges in Step ST1403 that a coverage macro cell, which includes the small cell in the coverage of the coverage macro cell, is present as a result of neighbor cell search in Step ST1402, notifies the coverage macro cell and another neighbor cell of its own capability in Steps ST1404 and 1405. The coverage macro cell selects a configuration parameter suitable for the capability of the small cell in Step ST1406 and notifies the small cell in Step ST1407. The small cell recognizes an operation mode configured by the coverage macro cell from the configuration parameter notified from the coverage macro cell, and then, starts operating in the operation mode.

  • Publication number: 20200112958
Abstract: Provided is a communication system that can be normally and efficiently operated in the case where existing carriers and new carrier types coexist. A base station device and a communication terminal device are configured to perform communication in cells of legacy carriers LC1 to LC3 being existing carriers. When the base station device starts operating new carrier types NCT1 and NCT2, the NCT1 and NCT2 are associated with legacy carriers belonging to the same frequency band. For example, the NCT2 is associated with the LC2 or the LC3 and is not associated with the LC1. The legacy carriers LC1 to LC3 associated with the NCT1 and the NCT2 notify the communication terminal device of the information on the NCT1 and NCT2. This allows the communication terminal device to communicate with the NCT1 and the NCT2.

  • Patent number: 10609602
Abstract: A mobile communication system includes a movable user equipment device, a plurality of base station devices configured to perform radio communication with the user equipment device, and a relay device movably configured to relay radio communications between the user equipment device and the base station devices. In a handover process of switching a base station device to be connected with the relay device from a base station device being a moving source to a base station device being a moving destination along with moving of the relay device, the base station device being a moving source selects the base station device being a moving destination from base station devices other than a base station device that does not have a function supporting the relay device, and performs the handover process such that the relay device is connected to the selected base station device.
