  • Patent number: 11941116
Abstract: An illustrative method includes determining that a total amount of read traffic and write traffic processed by a storage system during a time period exceeds a threshold; determining a first compressibility metric associated with the write traffic; determining a second compressibility metric associated with the read traffic; determining, based on a comparison of the first compressibility metric with the second compressibility metric, that the write traffic is less compressible than the read traffic; determining, based on the total amount of read traffic and write traffic exceeding the threshold and on the write traffic being less compressible than the read traffic, that the storage system is possibly being targeted by a security threat; and modifying, in response to the determining that the storage system is possibly being targeted by the security threat, a data protection parameter set for one or more recovery datasets generated by the storage system.

  • Publication number: 20150260878
Abstract: A method to derive, design and apply digital signal filters to compensate for variations in hydrophone sensitivity. The impedance or resonance of a hydrophone is measured and compared respectively to the impedance or resonance values from a library of hydrophone responses containing values for impedance, resonance, amplitude sensitivity, phase response, or other hydrophone characteristics. A corrective filter is determined based on library values, and this filter is applied to the data collected by the hydrophone.

  • Publication number: 20060279309
Abstract: A method and storage device for testing a V-Chip is disclosed. The storage device is operated with a reading device and a display device configured with the V-Chip. The storage device stores a plurality of testing frames and each of the testing frames includes a testing control signal. Thus, when the reading device reads one of the testing frames from the storage device and transmits the testing frame to the display device, the display device shows the testing frame if the testing frame does not belong to the media content which the V-Chip has been set to block. On the other hand, the display device shows a blocked message if the testing frame belongs to the media content which the V-Chip blocks.

  • Publication number: 20050143189
Abstract: An improved golf club head includes a body, a balance weight and an upper lid. The body has a hitting surface and a recess formed on an upper side of the rear end thereof. The balance weight is located in the recess. The upper lid is made from a composite material or fibers and has a curvature matching the upper side of the golf club head to anchor the balance weight in an integrated manner. Thus the weight of the upper side of golf club head is reduced. The upper lid makes the club head more appealing and can generate a crispy sound when hitting golf ball. A higher trajectory track may be generated when the golf ball is hit. And more versatile appearances may be formed.
