    Abstract: A channel communication device and method for a mobile communication system using transmission antenna diversity. A base station alternatively transmits signals on a common channel via at least two antennas at first and second intervals. A mobile station estimates a time relationship between the alternatively switched common channel and a user channel and measures the power of the received signals corresponding to the first and second intervals. The mobile station selects an antenna having stronger power by comparing the power of the signal corresponding to the first interval with the power of the signal corresponding to the second interval, and informs the base station of the selected antenna. The base station transmits a dedicated channel via the selected antenna.

    Abstract: An image processing system and an image processing method which correct a moiré in an image taken from a displayed image. An imaging taking apparatus takes an image of an image displayed by an image displaying apparatus and an optical characteristic changing apparatus is provided between the image taking apparatus and the image displaying apparatus. A lightpath of the displayed image is changed before the image of the displayed image is taken and an image processor receives a plurality of the taken images from the image taking apparatus and generates a processed image with a removed moiré by correcting or superposing the plurality of the images. Thus, a processed image, in which a moiré of the displayed image is removed, is promptly obtainable, and a quality of the taken image is increased. The image processing system and method are adaptable to various systems for inspection and/or measurement.

    Abstract: A synchronization (sync) code communication device for a CDMA communication system. A base station sync code transmission device comprises a primary sync code transmitter and a secondary sync code transmitter. The primary sync code transmitter is for generating and then transmitting a primary sync code at a first location in a transmission frame. The primary sync code is for acquiring synchronization at a starting point of a frame and the frame is equal to one period of a spreading code. The secondary sync code transmitter is for generating and then transmitting a secondary sync code at a second location in a frame. The secondary sync codes are assigned to base station groups, one to a group. A mobile station sync code receiving device comprises a primary sync code acquisition decider and a base station group decider. The primary sync code acquisition decider is for acquiring a primary sync code received at a first location in a frame, and then acquiring synchronization at a starting point of a frame.

    Abstract: A common power control channel transmission device for a base station in a CDMA communication system is provided having a selector for receiving power control commands to be transmitted to multiple subscribers and multiplexing the received power control commands; and a spreading modulator for spreading an output of the selector by multiplying the output of the selector by a spreading sequence. The common power control channel transmission device can be used to control power of a reverse link common channel. For the power control of the reverse link common channel, the base station receives a signal from a mobile station via the reverse link common channel, and transmits to the mobile station a power control command for controlling a transmission power of the reverse link common channel according to a measured strength of the received signal.
