    Abstract: The invention is directed to polymers that self-crosslink at acidic pH or can be crosslinked by phenolic agents in brine. Such polymers have lower viscosity and can be pumped deep into reservoirs, where they will cross link in situ, thus increasing their viscosity and/or form a gel and blocking thief zones. Methods of making and using such polymers are also provided.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a detection method, including steps of: providing an elongated carrier with a plurality of recognition substances fixed thereon; bringing a first end of the elongated carrier in contact with a liquid sample to permit the liquid sample to move towards an opposite second end along the elongated carrier, therewith a plurality of coloring elements in the liquid sample forming a colored band on the elongated carrier; and determining whether the liquid sample contains analytes based on the length of the colored band. Accordingly, the analytes can be detected by recognizing the agglutination based on the length of the colored band. Additionally, the present invention also provides a detection device and a detection kit for the aforementioned detection process.

These processes are useful for providing coalesced particles such as toner compositions.

When acting as a sender, the session continuity module will select transmission path(s), reestablish the transport connection(s) and tag packets with session IDs and sequence numbers. When acting as a receiver, the session continuity module will identify and reorder packets using session IDs and sequence numbers, regardless of the IP addresses and ports of the packets. To sum up, the present invention can provide service continuity and multipath transmission for network devices.

The wire transporting unit is disposed on the other side of the hole and includes a sampling end and a transporting end. The guiding unit collects a test sample through the transporting end and provides at least a part of the test sample to react with the detection reagent. The detection device adopts the wire transporting unit to replace the pipette for collecting the test sample without directly contacting the detection area with the sample source.

    Abstract: Systems are provided for delivering a suture to close a surgical opening. An elongated deployment member may have at its distal end a retracted counterforce member. The counterforce member may be inserted into the surgical opening and deployed to resist being withdrawn from the opening. A compression member may be slid down the elongated member to compress the tissue to be sutured against the counterforce member. Suture passers loaded with suture ends may be passed through needle tubes within the elongated member to emerge from the elongated member and pierce the tissue to be sutured, then deposit the suture ends with a suture catcher. The suture passers may be withdrawn, leaving the suture ends. The suture catcher may be retracted, retaining the suture ends and the device—elongated member, retracted suture catcher, and retained suture end—may be withdrawn from the surgical opening. The suture may then be completed.
