  • Publication number: 20090285199
Abstract: A method and apparatus for supporting enterprise addressing in networks are disclosed. For example, the method creates a Domain Name System (DNS) service record and loading said DNS service record in a public DNS server for a customer, wherein the DNS service record supports a mapping of a domain name of the customer to a sub-domain name of a service provider. The method receives a call destined to a customer endpoint device for the customer; and forwards the call to the customer in accordance with the DNS service record.

  • Publication number: 20090210953
Abstract: The present invention relates to the elucidation that TRPML3 is involved in salty taste perception in primates including humans and likely other mammals and based thereon high-throughput mammalian and medium-throughput oocyte-based electrophysiological assays for identifying human TRPML3 modulators, preferably TRPML3 enhancers. Compounds that modulate TRPML3 function in the assay are expected to affect salty taste in humans. The inventive electrophysiological assays, such as the two-electrode voltage-clamp technique, facilitate the identification of compounds which specifically modulate human TRPML3. The assays of the invention provide a robust screen useful to detect compounds that facilitate (enhance) or inhibit TRPML3 function. Compounds that enhance or block TRPML3 channel activity should thereby modulate salty taste. In addition, these compounds may be used to regulate sodium excretion, urinary output and other biological functions relating to sodium levels and TRPML3 related functions.

  • Publication number: 20090171592
Abstract: The present invention is a method of identifying a compound that has a sufficient level of binding with a target site on a mammalian zinc transporter, or a portion thereof. The method comprises (a) providing a homology model of a mammalian zinc transporter, or portion thereof, comprising at least one target site; and (b) employing computational means to evaluate the level of binding of the compound with the target site, or a portion thereof. • Publication number: 20090117563
Abstract: This invention relates to the elucidation that TRPML3 is involved in salty taste perception in primates including humans and likely other mammals (given the significance of sodium and other ions to physiological functions and conditions this phenotype is likely strongly conserved in different animals). The invention also relates to the discovery that the TRPML3 gene also modulates one or more of sodium metabolism, sodium excretion, blood pressure, fluid retention, cardiac function and urinary functions such as urine production and excretion. The invention also relates to transgenic animals that have been engineered to express or knock out TRPML3 expression and assays using TRPML3 expressing animals, cells and isolated ion channel polypeptides for identifying compounds that modulate TRPML3-associated functions including salty taste, sodium metabolism, sodium excretion, blood pressure, fluid retention, cardiac function and urinary functions such as urine production and excretion.

  • Publication number: 20090092125
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing customer controlled traffic redistribution are disclosed. For example, the method determines one or more states of one or more Customer Premise Equipments (CPEs) at one or more customer sites periodically, wherein the one or more states are configured by a customer. The method then determines a network action for each of the one or more CPEs in accordance with the one or more states of the one or more CPEs, and routes traffic for the customer in accordance with the network action for each of the one or more CPEs.

  • Publication number: 20090015531
Abstract: A driving system and method for liquid crystal display is disclosed. The system stores only the driving values corresponding to specific grayscale values of pixels on a current frame and specific grayscale values of pixels on a previous frame. The stored driving values are then used by an operation processing unit of the system to calculate out driving values to be applied to the current frame. Moreover, the system is provided with a logic judging unit for preventing the noises of the frame from being overdriven.

  • Publication number: 20080254795
Abstract: Systems and methods provide virtual CSCFs in an IMS system. The Virtual CSCFs may be virtual S-CSCFs or virtual P-CSCFs. A master virtual CSCF may be used to distribute subscriber data and initial filter criteria to the virtual CSCFs in a group. Thus one of multiple servers may be used for processing call sessions for the same subscriber, thereby avoiding overloading a particular CSCF in an IMS system.

  • Patent number: 7377268
Abstract: A compact, inline magnetic fuel conditioner is disclosed for improving fuel efficiency of a fuel combustion engine. The fuel conditioner has a magnetic manifold having a built-in magnetic field for interacting thus conditioning the fuel as it flows by. The magnetic field is produced by several pairs of magnets arranged along the fuel path. The magnetic manifold is sealed within a steel hull. The magnetic manifold increases the fuel surface area and its dwell time for magnetization thus improving the fuel combustion efficiency and reducing undesirable emissions to the environment. The resulting fuel saving lies generally in the range of 5% to 15%. Due to its robust operating principle and construction, the compact magnetic fuel conditioner can be deployed under a wide range of weather conditions. Furthermore, the compact magnetic fuel conditioner can be broadly deployed in gasoline engines, diesel engines and industry fuel kilns.

  • Patent number: 7374260
Abstract: A hidden type sliding rail assembly auto locking structure for drawer is disclosed comprised of a holder base, a slide, a coil spring member, a hook, a steel spring strip, a locking block, and an actuating block. When the outer sliding rail is moved outwards with the drawer, the actuating block pushes the steel spring strip to force the hook against the slide and to further force the locking block into a side notch and stopped at a stop edge at the holder base to prevent disconnection of the locking block, for enabling the coil spring member to return the drawer to the close position. Except the coil spring member, the holder base holds the other parts on the inside and keeps them from sight without the use of a cover, thereby saving much installation labor and time.

  • Patent number: 7375655
Abstract: A keyboard without ghost keys has a circuit which includes a microprocessor in which a plurality of I/O lines form a keyboard scanning matrix. Two of the I/O lines on the matrix cross to define a plurality of signal switches. The microprocessor is electrically connected to a primary level resistance and a reference potential to determine the ON condition of the signal switches. Each signal switch further is electrically connected to at least one secondary level switch which is electrically connected to the primary level switch in a serial manner. When a user depresses any three signal switches on the rectangular angles of the keyboard scanning matrix, the connecting primary level resistance and the secondary level resistance form a new level resistance. The new level resistance and the current flowing to the keyboard scanning matrix are processed to get a potential smaller than the reference potential, thereby to eliminate the phenomenon of ghost keys.
