    Abstract: Disclosed is a network-based drug efficacy-assessing method, and an apparatus. The method comprises: computing a score for association between drugs and diseases by means of at least one of drug-adjacency-based inference, disease-adjacency-based inference, and module-distance-based inference; building a classifier for determining whether the drug is associated with the disease, using machine learning in which the score is employed as a feature; and determining the association between the drug and the disease by use of the classifier. The method and apparatus can search for drug-disease relation in which a drug can exert its pharmaceutical efficacy on a disease on the basis of a network constructed from protein interaction databases and protein-gene association databases, and can evaluate the molecular interaction of the drug to find out new pharmaceutical effects of the drug with higher precision and sensitivity, whereby a time and cost for the development of new drugs can be reduced.

    Abstract: A plasma enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD) apparatus and a method of forming a conductive thin film using the same are disclosed. According to the present invention of a PEALD apparatus and a method, a process gas inlet lube and a process gas outlet tube are installed symmetrically and concentrically with respect to a substrate, thereby allowing the process gas to flow uniformly, evenly and smoothly over the substrate, thereby forming a thin film uniformly over the substrate. A uniquely designed showerhead assembly provides not only reduces the volume of the reactor space, but also allows the process gases to flow uniformly, evenly and smoothly throughout the reation space area and reduces the volume of the reaction space, and the smaller volume makes it easier and fast to change the process gases for sequential and repeated process operation.

    Abstract: A method of controlling a motor-driven washing machine and a control system that controls a motor or any other components of the washing machine are disclosed. The method includes the steps of generating an interruption command for braking a motor in motion during a wash cycle, applying a phase-reversed voltage to a voltage input terminal of the motor in motion, and electrically shorting the input terminal of the motor for a predetermined period of time if a second phase-reversed voltage generated by the motor is higher than or equal to a critical voltage level. Using such method, a motor-clutch mechanism is prevented front generating a noise and from being damaged during a wash cycle.
