  • Patent number: 7769018
Abstract: One embodiment presented herein comprises a method of establishing at least two simultaneous forms of communication between at least two entities. The method can use a service to facilitate the communication or the entities can establish communications on their own (or one entity could be establishing multiple forms of communication with a service). One embodiment begins by connecting one of the entities to a service. The service is then used to establish an initial communication form between the entities. Alternatively, if a service is not used, the entities can establish the initial communication themselves. Next, a list of alternative communication forms that are possible between the entities is created. This list can be prioritized according to a number of different parameters. This list can be created using a previously established database maintained by the service or can be created by the entities themselves as they communicate over the initial communication channel.

  • Publication number: 20100084120
Abstract: An evaporative heat exchanger including a plurality of parallel flow passages extending through the heat exchanger and together defining a first fluid flow path, and a plurality of substantially parallel stacked plates interleaved with the parallel flow passages. Each plate can have first, second, and third sets of flow channels, a first collection manifold adjacent to an end of the plate and connecting the first and second passes, and a second collection manifold. The second collection manifold can intersect the second set of flow channels and at least some of the third set of flow channels. The plate separates the first set of flow channels from the second collection manifold.

  • Publication number: 20100083369
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product for handling secure information (e.g., a password, an account number, a personal identification number (PIN), a user identifier, an encryption key, and a path where said secure information is stored) is presented. Secure information is stored in a software container. A plurality of representations of the secure information is provided, each of the plurality of representations for use under different conditions. Dependent on the particular condition, at least one of the plurality of representations of the secure information is provided by the container. The container holds the secure information during all stages of processing in a manner that prevents unauthorized parties from gaining access to the secret in clear form.

  • Publication number: 20090285372
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a system and method for automating the exchange of information between the multiple personal computerized devices of an entity so as to provide context for communications, such as incoming and/or outgoing telephone calls, with other entities. The system and method associate one entity with multiple devices. Communications over a device (e.g., one of the various types of telephones) are tracked. Then, for a given communication, an identifier (e.g., a caller ID from an incoming telephone call) is communicated to at least one other device. The other device performs a local and/or internet search for information associated with that particular identifier. The retrieved information is then displayed so as to provide the entity with essentially instantaneous context for the given communication. The system can be implemented using client-server network technology or, alternatively, using point-to-point communication technology.

  • Publication number: 20080302113
Abstract: The present invention provides a refrigeration system including a first refrigerant circuit including a first heat exchanger for transferring heat from refrigerant, a second refrigerant circuit including a second heat exchanger for transferring heat to refrigerant, and a third refrigerant circuit. The third refrigerant circuit includes a compressor, a condenser connected to the first refrigerant circuit such that heat exchange can occur between the refrigerants of the first and refrigerant circuits, an expansion device, and an evaporator connected to the second refrigerant circuit such that heat exchange can occur between the refrigerant of the second and third refrigerant circuits. The refrigerant can travel along the third refrigerant circuit in a common direction during operation in both heating and cooling modes. Refrigerant can be prevented from moving between first, second, and third refrigerant circuits during operation in heating and cooling modes.

  • Publication number: 20080291900
Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention is a method for server side integration of communication devices and the general purpose PC of the same user through a computer network wherein no physical connection is required between the PC and the communication device. The user registers with PnC (phone and computer) server for subscribing to one or more PnC services such as drop-to-call, conference-call-dropping service, webpage sharing, caller kaleidoscope etc., via user interface of communications device and/or PC. Various features for subscribing and unsubscribing to services are provided along with authenticating the user using the name and the phone number of the user while registering with the server.

  • Publication number: 20060285662
Abstract: An interactive visual menu system seamlessly integrates an interactive visual menu with an audio menu provided in an interactive voice response system. The system augments a voice menu by displaying the content of the voice menu to a caller. The system assumes that the caller is placing a call near an interactive device such as a computer and the user is logged onto the interactive device using, for example, instant messaging. The system “pushes” a graphical menu through the Internet onto the interactive device. Display of the graphical menu is synchronized with the audio menu. The caller selects the desired choices either by pressing the phone keypad or by clicking on graphical menus on the interactive device; both voice and visual information are updated accordingly.

  • Patent number: 6681597
Abstract: An integrated unit (10) in a refrigeration system (100) wherein a low-pressure conduit (18) and high-pressure conduit (36) are in conductive heat exchange relation to each other within an accumulator housing (12). The low pressure conduit (18) and high-pressure conduit (36) may be flat tubes wherein broad sides of the flat tubes are in conductive heat exchange relation to each other. The low-pressure conduit (18) and high-pressure conduit (36) or tubes have longitudinal axes (40, 42, respectively) that extend parallel to one another over a length (44) within the integrated unit (10).
