Abstract: The invention provides a PLL device comprising a PFD unit, a charging pump circuit, a loop filter, an oscillator, a feedback divider and a current compensation circuit. The PFD unit measures a phase and a frequency difference between a reference clock signal and a feedback clock signal of the PLL device to output a difference signal UP and a difference signal DN. The charging pump circuit receives and transfers the difference signals UP and DN into a current. The loop filter receives and transfers the current into a voltage. The oscillator receives the voltage and outputs an output signal. The feedback divider having a parameter N receives the output signal to generate the feedback clock signal according to the parameter N, wherein a frequency of the feedback clock signal is N times a frequency of the output signal. When the reference clock signal leads the feedback clock signal, the current compensation circuit outputs a compensation current to the loop filter.

Abstract: A sensor for angle measurement of a joint is disclosed. The sensor comprises a code strip, a linear encoder configured to detect relative movement between the linear encoder and the code strip, and a microcontroller configured to compute angular rotation of the joint from linear displacement obtained by the relative movement. The relative movement corresponds to rotation of the joint. A corresponding method and system are also disclosed.

Abstract: An image display apparatus includes a screen, a reflection mirror, an adaptive optics, and a projection unit. The reflection mirror has a reflective surface facing a light incident surface of the screen, and is separated from the light incident surface by a space. The boundary of the space is defined by the edges of the reflective surface and the light incident surface. The adaptive optics is disposed on the boundary of the space. The projection unit is disposed outside the space. The adaptive optics has a light exit side facing the reflective surface of the reflection mirror, and a light incident side facing the projection unit. A projecting light is generated from the projection unit, passes through the adaptive optics for adjusting the image size formed by the projecting light, and then is projected to the reflective surface of the reflection mirror for being reflected to the light incident surface.

Abstract: The present invention uses a discharge path to release the power stored in an output capacitor of a converting circuit when the time interval between two adjacent switching thereof is too long and may generate noises whose frequencies can be sensed by human ears. Hence, the present invention can keep the operating frequency of the converting circuit higher than a predetermined frequency and reduce the audio noise of the converting circuit.

Abstract: A metal oxide semiconductor device comprising a substrate, at least an isolation structure, a deep N-type well, a P-type well, a gate, a plurality of N-type extension regions, an N-type drain region, an N-type source region and a P-type doped region is provided. The N-type extension regions are disposed in the substrate between the isolation structures and either side of the gate, while the N-type drain region and the N-type source region are respectively disposed in the N-type extension regions at both sides of the gate. The P-type well surrounds the N-type extension regions, and the P-type doped region is disposed in the P-type well of the substrate and is isolated from the N-type source region by the isolation structure.

Abstract: A lighting fixture for improving luminance of a lamp tube includes a curved reflecting plate and a lampshade. The lampshade has partition plates with arc surfaces, side plates with inclined planes and end plates with curved surfaces. The lamp tube is disposed at a longitudinal axis of the curved reflecting plate. The reflecting plate reflects the light emitted from the lamp tube and the light reflected from the partition plates to the environment. The side plates are inclined with a certain angle for guiding light, and the end plates with curved surfaces are used to enhance the reflecting light. Thus, light output efficiency is improved and glare is reduced.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing enhanced navigation of stored digital video content based upon a content-based index. Includes generation and storage of an index, as well as navigation based on the segments defined by the index. An example system is embodied in a digital video recorder that generates an index for locating commercial groups interleaved with program content in a video presentation recorded from a television broadcast. The commercial groups may be viewed without the intervening program content or otherwise navigated based upon information in the index and one or navigation functions. Example user interfaces and several navigation functions are also provided.

Abstract: A subnetwork of client computers includes a designated relay host computer that communicates through a firewall with an outside server computer located within the same computing environment or over an Internet connection. A specially-designated URL on the server is used when the relay host requests that a downlink connection be kept alive indefinitely with the server computer. The server receives the HTTP request and activates a continuous heartbeat program. Heartbeat messages are sent continuously from the server computer to the relay host to keep the downlink connection open indefinitely. When the server needs to send an urgent message to the client computers it can do so immediately by using the already open downlink connection. The relay host forwards messages to the other component client computers in the subnetwork. The relay host may also use a proxy server. The downlink connection uses a standard request-reply protocol.

Abstract: A solid oxide cell obtainable by a process comprising the steps of: depositing a fuel electrode layer on a fuel electrode support layer; depositing an electrolyte layer comprising stabilised zirconia on the fuel electrode layer to provide an assembly of fuel electrode support, fuel electrode and electrolyte; optionally sintering the assembly of fuel electrode support, fuel electrode and electrolyte together to provide a pre-sintered half cell; depositing on the electrolyte layer of the pre-sintered half cell one or more oxygen electrode layers, at least one of the oxygen electrode layers comprising a composite of lanthanum-strontium-manganite and stabilised zirconia to provide a complete solid oxide cell; sintering the oxygen electrode layers together with the pre-sintered half cell to provide a sintered complete solid oxide cell; and impregnating the one or more oxygen electrode layers of the sintered complete solid oxide cell with manganese to obtain a manganese impregnated solid oxide cell.

Abstract: An e-mail system is disclosed that overcomes many deficiencies of, but is backward compatible with, existing e-mail systems. Embodiments of the system may include various features, including but not limited to: (1) secure transfer of e-mail messages, without the need for users to replace existing e-mail clients or to change e-mail addresses; (2) tracking of all actions performed in connection with an e-mail transmission; (3) the ability for a recipient to view information about an e-mail message, optionally including information about how other addressees have responded to it, before deciding whether to retrieve the e-mail message; (4) the aggregation of entire e-mail conversations into a single threaded view; (5) the ability to include both private and public messages in a single e-mail communication; (6) sender control over downstream actions performed in connection with an e-mail message; (7) flexible control over cryptographic methods used to encrypt emails messages for storage.

Abstract: An interference-free antenna module includes a WiFi interference-free antenna module having a plurality of high frequency transceivers respectively facing different directions, and an antenna controller electrically coupled to the high frequency transceivers respectively. The antenna controller receives a signal transmitting/receiving request output by a signal processor to accordingly select one of the high frequency transceivers to transmit or receive a circularly polarized high frequency signal. The antenna module also includes a consumer equipment interference-free antenna module having a circular polarization antenna unit. Abstract: A process for controlling the composition of an xBOB so that the xBOB will yield an oxygenate-containing gasoline which precisely meets desired specifications when mixed with the desired amount of oxygenate. The process involves blending a plurality of blendstocks to produce an xBOB, withdrawing a sample of the xBOB, obtaining spectroscopic measurements for the sample, applying mathematical models that were based on correlation of xBOB spectra to associated oxygenate-containing gasoline properties, to predict laboratory analysis results for oxygenate-containing gasoline properties, and using the analysis results to control and optimize the blending process.

Abstract: A base station interference-free antenna module includes a plurality of high frequency transceivers respectively facing different directions, and an antenna controller electrically coupled to the high frequency transceivers. The antenna controller is electrically coupled to a signal processor in order to receive a signal transmitting/receiving request output by the signal processor to accordingly select a high frequency transceiver to transmit or receive a circularly polarized high frequency signal. The system includes two WiFi base stations, each having the base station interference-free antenna module and a signal processor, and the high frequency signals wirelessly transmitted between the WiFi base stations in the system are circularly polarized.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) and an LCD panel thereof are provided. The structure of the pixel array of the present LCD panel is the half source driving (HSD) structure, and by which skillfully layout the coupled relationship between each pixel and each data line, and thereupon the present LCD panel adopting the driving manner of the column inversion can be achieved the display effect of the dot inversion. Therefore, the present invention can substantially reduce the power consumption of the source driver.
