  • Patent number: 7094711
Abstract: A method for fabricating micro pipes on a semiconductor wafer or other substrate. According to the method of the invention, a base layer is initially deposited on the substrate and then etched to form a trench which exposes the surface of the substrate. Next, a PR (photoresist) layer of selected thickness is deposited over the base layer and the trench. Finally, in a curing step, the deposited photoresist is irradiated with ionizing radiation to cause outgassing of nitrogen gas from the photoresist layer, between the PR layer and the substrate. This step facilitates buckling of the PR layer into an arcuate bubble which defines the semispherical micro pipe structure.

  • Publication number: 20060131697
Abstract: A method and a structure are provided for preventing lift-off of a semiconductor monitor pattern from a substrate. A semiconductor structure and a semiconductor monitor structure are formed on a substrate. A material layer is formed covering the semiconductor monitor structure. A part of the semiconductor structure is removed without removing the semiconductor monitor structure, by using the material layer as an etch protection layer. A mask for the method is also provided. The mask includes a clear area and a dark area. The dark area prevents a semiconductor monitor structure from being subjected to exposure so as to form a material layer covering the semiconductor monitor structure and prevent removal of the semiconductor monitor structure from the substrate while a part of a semiconductor structure is removed.

  • Patent number: 6585803
Abstract: A sintered stainless steel filter is used as the grounded electrode of a point-to-plane electrostatic precipitator. Particles flow through, rather than parallel to, the collection plate. Particle collection efficiency is empirically shown to increase as the charged particles are drawn closer to the grounded filter. The utilization of stainless steel fiber filter provides (1) low particle penetration (high particle collection efficiency) of different particle range, (2) applicability to all different particulate components, (3) high loading capacity but low pressure drop (less energy and maintenance needed), (5) low electric voltage for operating the system, and (6) low cost and small dimension.

  • Publication number: 20020082846
Abstract: A test plan has a tree-like structure, which has a top level for identifying the test plan, an intermediate level with test report files, and a lower level with test item files. The test item files have testing steps for performing a test of an item. The top level is used to access the test report files of the test plan, and each test report file is used to access test item files. A template archive is provided that holds complete test plan templates for use as a reference. A selection system enables a user to select a template from the template archive, and then hierarchically select template test report files, and template test item files under each template test report file.
