    Abstract: A leather inspection apparatus is provided for detecting inconsistencies on both upper and lower surfaces of a hide. It includes a first camera assembly movably coupled to a support frame and capable of movement along the upper surface of the hide and a second camera assembly movably coupled to the support frame and capable of movement along the lower surface of the hide. A computing device is coupled to the first camera assembly and the second camera assembly, such that the first camera assembly detects the locations of inconsistencies in the upper surface of the hide and the second camera assembly detects the locations of inconsistencies in the lower surface of the hide. The computing device digitally stores the locations of the inconsistencies of the upper surface of the hide and the locations of the inconsistencies of the lower surface of the hide.

    Abstract: An intelligent diagnosis system for a power module. The system includes a power module, a hardware checking module and a diagnostic module. The power module has a temperature sensing element for obtaining a temperature difference between a starting minimum temperature and a current temperature. The hardware checking module has a current sensing element, a voltage sensing element and a magnetic coupling closed loop detection element for obtaining the current, the output voltage and the input voltage of the power module, and the hardware loop status, respectively. The diagnostic module calculates the number of cycles that have been operated, a measured impedance and an instantaneous power based on those measurement results, and calculating a risk index based on the number of cycles that have been operated, the temperature difference, the measured impedance, the instantaneous power and the hardware loop status, thereby determining the accumulation of the abnormality index record.

A surface treatment may be applied to at least a portion of an article. A thermal profile of the article may be obtained and used to determine temperature indications of different regions of the article to which the surface treatment has been applied. A standard model of the article may be obtained that includes model regions having model temperature ranges. The temperature indications of the article can be compared with the model temperature ranges to determine if any temperature indications are outside of a corresponding model temperature range. The article may be a shoe part. The surface treatments may include the application of heat, plasma, dye, paint, primer, and/or the application of other materials, substances, and/or processes.
