The side gaps are arranged respectively between the pole tip and the side shields and include SiO2. A side gap width of the plurality of throat regions increases with a side shield throat height above the ABS region for each of the throat regions. The side gap width has a different width variation in each of the throat regions.

One such method can involve selecting a plurality of materials for a magnetic feature, selecting a plurality of additives, combining the plurality of materials for the magnetic feature and the plurality of additives in an electrolyte solution to form a combined solution, adding nitrogen to the combined solution, degassing the combined solution, depositing the combined solution as a thin film on a wafer using pulse plating, and lapping the thin film to form an edge of the magnetic feature. In several embodiments, the magnetic feature is a component of a magnetic transducer such as a writer pole, a reader shield, or a writer shield.

The trailing shield is between the nonmagnetic refill material and the pole. A portion of the nonmagnetic refill material is between the recessed portion and the MFS.

    Abstract: A switching regulator includes circuitry for reducing conductive emissions caused when the regulators switch from one transistor switch to the other. The switching regulator includes at least one switch with a diode connected from the source to the drain of at least one of the transistor switches. When the regulator switches from one transistor switch to the other, the circuitry initiates turning on the switch with a relatively small, current-limited signal, waits for the diode across the recently turned off switch to complete reverse recovery, and then quickly turns the new switch fully on.

A portion of the side shield layer(s) are on the side surface. The portion of the side shield layer(s) has the gradient in the saturation magnetization. Each processing node can determine VASs that have processed the user packet, without the need to change the original user packet, thereby effectively ensuring that each VAS provides a normal value-added service to the user packet, and avoiding a fault in a process of forwarding the user packet between value-added servers.

A control circuit of the linear regulator includes a feedback network having an input coupled to the output voltage node and an output configured to generate a feedback voltage. A driver circuit receives the error signal and has an output coupled to drive a control terminal of the power transistor. A first power supply terminal of the driver circuit is coupled to a first power supply node and a second power supply terminal of the driver circuit is coupled to the output voltage node. The bias current for operation of the driver circuit is accordingly directly sourced to the output voltage node to support low quiescent current operation of the regulator circuit.
