    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method of generating codebook in a wireless communication system with multiple antenna arrays, as well as a wireless communication system, base station and terminal using the codebook for communication. The method comprises steps of: providing a basic codebook which contains multiple pre-coding matrices; and assigning phase offsets to certain pre-coding matrices in the basic codebook to form a codebook with phase offset. The feedback overhead from a client to a base station side is reduced and a good precision of feedback for multi-antenna array is kept by applying the method of generating codebook and using the generated codebook in the wireless communication system, base station and terminal.

    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for analyzing and learning behaviors based on acquired sensor data. A neuro-linguistic cognitive engine performs learning and analysis on linguistic content (e.g., identified alpha symbols, betas, and gammas) obtained by a linguistic model that clusters observations to generate the linguistic content. The neuro-linguistic cognitive engine compares new data to learned patterns stored in short and longer-term memories and determines whether to issue special event notifications indicating anomalous behavior. In one embodiment, condition(s) may be generated for new data and checked against inference nodes of an inference network. Inference nodes matching the condition(s) are executed to, e.g., compare the new data with the learned patterns, with output from the inference nodes being used to generate additional condition(s) that are again matched to inference nodes which may be executed.

    Abstract: The present invention employs a pilot scheme for frequency division multiple access (FDM) communication systems, such as single carrier FDM communication systems. A given transmit time interval will include numerous traffic symbols and two or more short pilot symbols, which are spaced apart from one another by at least one traffic symbol and will have a Fourier transform length that is less than the Fourier transform length of any given traffic symbol. Multiple transmitters will generate pilot information and modulate the pilot information onto sub-carriers of the short pilot symbols in an orthogonal manner. Each transmitter may use different sub-carriers within the time and frequency domain, which is encompassed by the short pilot symbols within the transmit time interval. Alternatively, each transmitter may uniquely encode the pilot information using a unique code division multiplexed code and modulate the encoded pilot information onto common sub-carriers of the short pilot symbols.

    Abstract: A well cementing method is described for improving cementing quality by controlling the hydration heat of cement slurry. By controlling the degree and/or rate of hydration heat release from cement slurry, the method improves the hydration heat release during formation of cement with curing of cement slurry, improves the binding quality between the cement and the interfaces, and in turn improves the cementing quality at the open hole section and/or the overlap section. The cementing method improves cementing quality of oil and gas wells and reduces the risk of annular pressure.

    Abstract: In some embodiments of the invention, OFDM symbols are transmitted as a plurality of clusters. A cluster includes a plurality of OFDM sub-carriers in frequency, over a plurality of OFDM symbol durations in time. Each cluster includes data as well as pilot information as a reference signal for channel estimation. In some embodiments, a plurality of clusters collectively occupy the available sub-carrier set in the frequency domain that is used for transmission. In some embodiments of the invention data and/or pilots are spread within each cluster using code division multiplexing (CDM). In some embodiments pilots and data are separated by distributing data on a particular number of the plurality of OFDM symbol durations and pilots on a remainder of the OFDM symbol durations. CDM spreading can be performed in time and/or frequency directions.
