    Abstract: The present invention relates to a conical wedge-shaped lensed fiber and the method of making the same. The method comprises: (a) providing an optical fiber having a central axis and an end; (b) machining the end of the optical fiber to form a flat end face; (c) machining the end of the optical fiber to form a conical region; (d) machining one side of the conical region to form a flat first surface; (e) machining another side of the conical region to form a flat third surface, wherein the first surface and the third surface intersect at a intersecting line that is perpendicular to the central axis; and (f) fusing the intersecting line to form a lens. The method has simplified fabricating processes and need not to set up any particular angle of rotation of the fiber. Therefore, the fabricating time and cost are reduced, and the coupling efficiency of the lensed fiber is up to 90%.

    Abstract: A brake mechanism for a baby stroller having a plurality of wheels and a pair of rotatable push arms capable of being moved either forward or rearward. The brake mechanism comprises a connecting assembly and an actuator; and has a braking block for operatively stopping the baby stroller. The connecting assembly has a pulling slider for operatively associating with the braking block of the brake mechanism, and the actuator is operatively secured to the push arm and associated with the connecting assembly, so as to indirectly drive the brake mechanism. This allows a user to manipulate the actuator to stop the stroller from either in front of or behind the stroller.

    Abstract: A baby car seat capable of having the incline angles of the armrests adjusted, includes a base, a pair of armrests, an inclined-angle adjusting member and a resilient element. The lower end of the armrests and an inclined-angle adjusting member catch each other in order to secure the armrests at particular inclined angles, and the armrests are pivotally connected to the base at both sides thereof. The resilient element is disposed between the inclined-angle adjusting member and base, and is capable of providing resilience to make the inclined-angle adjusting member maintain its position relative to the lower ends of the armrests. The user can move the inclined-angle adjusting member from outside of the base to press the resilient element and temporarily separate the resilient element from the lower ends of the armrests. In this way, the armrests may be adjusted to a desired angle that is comfortable for the baby.

An elastic element of the frame is utilized to assist the partial folding of the frame such that the user can directly push the handle bar to fold the frame. The method includes forming a hydrocarbon of the general composition CxHy on the surface of the low-k dielectric. The hydrocarbon layer includes depositing a precursor material, preferably C2H4 or (CH3)2CHC6H6CH3. In accordance with embodiments of this invention, carbon diffuses into the low-k dielectric, thereby reducing carbon depletion damage caused by plasma processing or etching. Surface dielectric pores damaged by plasma processing are also repaired by sealing them with the CXHY layer. Embodiments include semiconductor devices, such as devices having damascene interconnect structures, manufacturing using methods provided.

The method includes depositing a hydrocarbon of the general composition CxHy on the surface of a low-k dielectric. In accordance with embodiments of this invention, carbon diffuses into the low-k dielectric, thereby reducing low-k dielectric damage caused by plasma processing or etching. Other embodiments comprise a semiconductor device having a low-k dielectric, wherein the low-k dielectric has carbon-adjusted dielectric region adjacent a trench sidewall and a bulk dielectric region. In preferred embodiments, the carbon-adjusted dielectric region has a carbon concentration not more than about 5% less than in the bulk dielectric region.

    Abstract: A vacuum breaker for hose connection includes an upper and a lower connecting element for connecting to a hose bibb and a hose connection, respectively, and a pressure pad. The upper connecting element internally has a waterproof gasket supported on a transverse partition to tightly contact with an end surface of the hose bibb. The lower connecting element has an internal stepped surface with a plurality of spaced air holes for communicating an inner space of the vacuum breaker with external environment. The pressure pad has a convex top with a central hole and is rested on the stepped surface. The pressure pad is deformed by water impacted to seal the air holes on the stepped surface, and restores to the convex top to open the air holes when the hose bibb is turned off, so that water remained in the water tube can be vacuum drained.
