  • Publication number: 20150256320
Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus determines an interference type between a time division duplex (TDD) configuration subframe of a serving cell and a corresponding TDD configuration subframe of a neighboring cell, and sets a transmit power for an apparatus in the serving cell based on the interference type. The apparatus in the serving cell may be a user equipment (UE), in which case the apparatus applies a set of uplink (UL) open loop power control parameters for the UE. The apparatus in the serving cell may be a base station (eNB), in which case a DL transmit power is set for the eNB. Depending on the interference type, the DL transmit power may be a fixed, full power DL transmission or an adjusted DL transmission.

  • Publication number: 20150229446
Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus groups subframes of a time division duplex (TDD) configuration of a serving cell into a set of anchor subframes and a set of non-anchor subframes. The apparatus also separately bundles positive acknowledgements (ACKs) and/or negative acknowledgements (NACKs) of the anchor subframes, and ACKs and/or NACKs of the non-anchor subframes.

  • Publication number: 20150189666
Abstract: Interference mitigation solutions are disclosed for interference experienced based on asymmetric uplink (UL)/downlink (DL) slot configuration. The aggressor/victim network entities are identified using either measurement or static/semi-static means, such that the victim network entities that may be impacted by interference from aggressor network entity transmissions are identified. Inter Cell Interference Coordination (ICIC) mechanisms are extended to negotiate and address scheduling that intelligently mitigates interference that occurs in the colliding slots.

  • Patent number: 8462877
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving multimedia broadcast/multicast data. The method includes the steps of: receiving a check report returned from a receiver, determining whether the check report indicates there are both basic layer and enhanced layer data errors and if yes, exchanging the last two bits of the enhanced layer and the first two bits of the basic layer and modulating the data with a second constellation map and then transmitting the data; otherwise determining whether the check report indicates there is only the basic layer error, and modulating and transmitting the data according to the result of determination. The beneficial effects of the present invention are that the retransmission efficiency can be improved and the ratio of receiving the data correctly by the users at the cell center and at the cell border during the first retransmission is improved.

  • Patent number: 8385936
Abstract: A method of interference suppression in a wireless cellular network includes notifying a first base station that there is a second User Equipment (UE) that currently suffers downlink interferences from the first base station, when an second UE in an active state suffers the downlink interferences from the first base station; and reallocating, by the first base station, spectrum resources for a first UE communicating with the first base station. A first base station, a second UE and a second base station for implementing the above method of interference suppression are also provided. When the second UE in the active state suffers the downlink interferences from an adjacent first base station, the first base station can adjust the spectrum resources occupied by the first UE through resource scheduling, so as to reduce the downlink interferences on the second UE in the active state, thus to reduce the influence on the communication between the second UE and the second base station.

  • Patent number: 8224252
Abstract: An inter-cell interference coordination method comprises: measuring an interference over thermal noise of a first subcarrier resource block in an uplink direction and obtaining an interference over thermal noise measurement value by a first base station; judging whether a first high interference indicating message is received from a second base station when the interference over thermal noise measurement value is larger than a first preset threshold value by the first base station; sending an overload indicator message to the second base station which has sent the high interference indicating message or shielding the first subcarrier resource block by the first base station when the first high interference indicating message is received; and sending the overload indicator message to base stations to which all the neighboring cells belong by the first base station when the first high interference indicating message is not received. The overhead at X2 interface is reduced according to the present invention.

  • Patent number: 7283092
Abstract: Switched-beam antenna arrangement means use a method of controlling an antenna pattern of such antenna arrangement means. Each antenna pattern of a predetermined number of fixed antenna patterns is allocated to a predetermined time slot of a time multiplexed signal. The switched-beam antenna arrangement means is switched to generate the fixed antenna patterns during their allocated time slots. Thereby, any user can choose between distinct beam patterns by selecting an appropriate time slot, so that the risk that the user is located at the intersection area of two beams is greatly reduced.
