    Abstract: An electronic device may have a display with an array of pixels. The device may have an array of components such as an array of light sensors for capturing fingerprints of a user through an array of corresponding transparent windows in the display. A capacitive touch sensor, proximity sensor, force sensor, or other sensor may be used by control circuitry in the device to monitor for the presence of a user's finger over the array of light sensors. In response, the control circuitry can direct the display to illuminate a subset of the pixels, thereby illuminating the user's finger and causing reflected light from the finger to illuminate the array of light sensors for a fingerprint capture operation. The display may have display driver circuitry that facilitates the momentary illumination of the subset of pixels with uniform flash data while image data is displayed in other portions of the display.

    Abstract: Embodiments provide systems, methods, and computer storage media for fitting 3D primitives to a 3D point cloud. In an example embodiment, 3D primitives are fit to a 3D point cloud using a global primitive fitting network that evaluates the entire 3D point cloud and a local primitive fitting network that evaluates local patches of the 3D point cloud. The global primitive fitting network regresses a representation of larger (global) primitives that fit the global structure. To identify smaller 3D primitives for regions with fine detail, local patches are constructed by sampling from a pool of points likely to contain fine detail, and the local primitive fitting network regresses a representation of smaller (local) primitives that fit the local structure of each of the local patches. The global and local primitives are merged into a combined, multi-scale set of fitted primitives, and representative primitive parameters are computed for each fitted primitive.

Given a particular target, a retrieval network retrieves or identifies a source model from a database, and a deformation network deforms the source model to fit the target. In some cases, joint learning is employed to enable the retrieval and deformation networks to jointly learn a deformation-aware retrieval embedding space and an individualized deformation space for each source model. In some cases, the retrieval network retrieves based on distance in the deformation-aware retrieval embedding space, enabling the retrieval module to retrieve a source model that best fits to the target after deformation. In some cases, a deformation is decomposed into a plurality of per-part deformations, and/or and the retrieval embedding space is used to select training data.
