  • Publication number: 20180210539
Abstract: A sub-CPU of a storage system discriminates in advance whether a storage device connected to a SATA bridge is an HDD (a first type) or an SSD (a second type). Upon receiving a power saving shift instruction that does not distinguish a type of the storage device from a main CPU via a SATA controller, the sub-CPU instructs a power control unit corresponding to the discriminated type to perform power control for causing the storage device to shift to a power saving state. The sub-CPU makes an instruction for power control to a GPIO if the discriminated type is HDD, and has a SATA host I/F cause the storage device shift to the power saving state if the discriminated type is SSD.

  • Patent number: 9869794
Abstract: A start-up time of a production facility is shortened while generation of a muting error is suppressed, whereby productivity is improved. A multiple-optical-axis photoelectric sensor system includes a projector, an optical receiver, a light blocking determination unit configured to make a light blocking determination whether each of optical axes formed between the projector and the optical receiver is in a light blocking state, and a muting processor configured to temporarily disable the light blocking determination on condition that a detection signal input from an external muting instrument changes according to a predetermined sequence. The muting processor determines the sequence of the detection signal from the muting instrument during the muting by dividing the sequence into a plurality stages. The muting processor accumulates and analyzes measurement information acquired in each stage, and decides an optimum setting value for a muting operation condition based on an analysis result.

  • Publication number: 20170344095
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a processor and a first device. The processor executes an operating system and a power control application, which operates on the operating system and controls a power mode of the information processing apparatus. The first device is connected to the processor to communicate with the processor, and notifies the operating system of a return time. The power control application notifies the first device of information indicating the power mode of the information processing apparatus. Based on the information notified by the power control application, the first device determines a return time of which the operating system is to be notified, and notifies the operating system of the determined return time. Based on the return time notified by the first device, the operating system determines a power saving state to which the processor is to shift, and shifts the processor to the determined power saving state.

  • Patent number: 9671522
Abstract: A detection processing unit determines, in a detection area including optical axes formed between emitter elements and receiver elements, whether each optical axis is in an interrupted state after optical axis selection corresponding to one scan, and outputs a detection signal based on the determination result. When at least one of the optical axes is constantly interrupted by an object movable within the detection area, the detection processing unit outputs the detection signal upon determining that the number of optical axes in an interrupted state is greater than a preset maximum optical axis number, and also outputs the detection signal upon determining that the number of optical axes in an interrupted state is smaller than a preset minimum optical axis number.

  • Patent number: 9329581
Abstract: A safety control system is provided, which is capable of monitoring many more drive circuits by using a single controller without modifying the configurations of the controller and the drive circuit. An a-contact of a relay is electrically connected between a FB (feedback) output terminal and a FB input terminal of a safety controller. A b-contact of the relay is electrically connected between a signal output terminal (safety output (1) terminal) of the safety controller and a signal input terminal (safety input (1) terminal) of a safety drive circuit. A coil of the relay is connected to a FB monitor output terminal of the safety drive circuit. No factor in a large voltage drop is present between the FB output terminal and the FB input terminal, thus making it possible to monitor many more drive circuits by using a single controller.
