  • Patent number: 6914464
Abstract: Phase-locked loop (PLL) circuits include first and second PLL stages and use fractional frequency division. In one implementation, the first stage includes a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) whose output is provided to both first and second fractional frequency dividers. The output of the first frequency divider is provided to a first phase comparator whose output passes through a filter so as to provide the deviation signal that controls the output frequency of the first VCO. The output of the second fractional frequency divider is received by the second PLL stage as a reference signal.

  • Patent number: 6900307
Abstract: There are provided 2-aminopurine derivatives represented by the following general formula (1): where R represents any species selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and acyl groups, X represents any species selected from the group consisting of phosphoramidite and oligonucleotides, Y represents any species selected from the group consisting of dimethyltrityl groups and oligonucleotides, and Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4 and Z5 are the same or different and represent any species selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and hydroxyl, amino, lower alkyl, alkoxy, carboxyl and sulfonic acid groups, provided that Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4 and Z5 are not all hydrogen, as well as gene expression-regulating compositions characterized by comprising the derivatives. By introducing the 2-aminopurine derivatives into oligonucleotides it is possible to achieve crosslinking reaction with high reactivity for target nucleic acids and notably high base sequence specificity.

  • Publication number: 20050057101
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a linear actuator in which reliability is improved, and performance is also easily improved. The present invention provides a linear actuator including a stator, a movable element having an iron member, and being reciprocatable with respect to the stator, a permanent magnet fixed to the stator so as to be opposed to the iron member, and a coil fixed to the stator. Because both the coil and the permanent magnet are fixed to the stator, electrical current does not have to be supplied to the movable element, and the feeder lines connected to the coil will not be broken due to the movement of the movable element. In addition, the weight of the movable element will not be increased even when the weigh of the permanent magnet is increased in order to obtain high magnetic flux density for improvement in performance. Moreover, because the movable element does not include a magnet, a magnetizing operation does not have to be applied to the movable element.

  • Publication number: 20050038186
Abstract: A thermoplastic elastomer composition of the invention, formed by dynamically crosslinking a polymer composition including a rubber and an olefinic resin and having an average particle size of rubber particles within a specific range, shows an excellent balance of mechanical properties such as flexibility and elastic recovery, and a moldability. Also an inclusion of a (meth)acrylate resin and a hydrogenated diene polymer provides a composition particularly excellent in scratch resistance. Also an inclusion of a maleimide compound provides a composition particularly excellent in injection fusibility. Also an inclusion of an undenatured organopolysiloxane of a specific viscosity and a denatured organopolysiloxane provides a composition particularly excellent in initial slidability and durable slidability.

  • Publication number: 20050006566
Abstract: An accessory utilizing a light emitter that is capable of detachably attaching a transparent body such as a gem is provided. Because the transparent body is detachable and re-attachable, it is easily possible to use a plurality of transparent bodies on one accessory. Also, it is possible to use the accessory in a wide variety of situations according to time, place and occasion. Further, providing a family crest, engraved mark, trade mark, illustration and/or the like on the accessory not only embellishes the effect of the accessory, but also makes the accessory more distinctive.

  • Patent number: 6841582
Abstract: The present invention relates to a thermoplastic elastomer composition having a three-dimensional network structure which is not formed by a chemical crosslinking and having an excellent elasticity recovery and flexibility, a foam having a highly closed cell, an uniform cell shape, an excellent elasticity recovery, flexibility and appearance, and a process for producing the same. A thermoplastic elastomer of the invention is obtained by mixing in a predetermined ratio an EPDM (1), a crystalline polyethylenic resin (2) and a block copolymer (3) having a crystalline ethylenic polymeric block and a block which is more compatible with said EPDM than with said crystalline polyethylenic resin together with an anti-aging agent followed by kneading in a pressurized kneader. A foam of the invention is obtained by adding 1 part by mass of a wetting agent to 100 parts by mass of the thermoplastic elastomer composition described above together with a foaming agent, agitating and then performing an extrusion foaming.

  • Patent number: 6152534
Abstract: A trim cover 5 capable of vending and deforming together with the sheet resilient material by pressure of a body of a sitting passenger is stretched within the frame of the frame body such as to face a front surface side of the sheet resilient material 2. With this structure, it is possible to suppress the air from an air conditioner in a vehicle from directly flowing from the seating face to a sitting passenger, thereby preventing the excessive effect of the air conditioner in the vehicle. Further, the design of the entire seat can be enhanced.
