  • Patent number: 9046862
Abstract: According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes an image forming section, a fixing device, and a control section. The image forming section forms images on a sheet with a recolorable decolorable colorant and an undecolorable colorant. The fixing device heats the sheet to fix the recolorable decolorable colorant and the undecolorable colorant on the sheet. The control section performs temperature control for the fixing device and fixes the recolorable decolorable colorant and the undecolorable colorant on the sheet at temperature higher than decoloring start temperature of the recolorable decolorable colorant to thereby fix the recolorable decolorable colorant on the sheet in a decolored state and fix the undecolorable colorant on the sheet in a colored state.

  • Patent number: 9017793
Abstract: A light diffusion sheet usable, for example, in backlight units, includes a transparent substrate layer, and a light diffusion layer overlaid on a front face of the substrate layer. The light diffusion layer includes resin beads and a resin binder, the resin beads being provided as monodisperse beads having a mean particle size of 1.5 ?m or greater and 5 ?m or less. A weight ratio of the monodisperse beads to the binder is 2.5 or greater and 3 or less, and an amount of the overlaid light diffusion layer is 3 g/m2 or greater and 10 g/m2 or less. An acrylic resin may be used as the substrate polymer of the monodisperse beads and binder. A coefficient of variation of particle size distribution of the monodisperse beads is preferably equal to or less than 0.2. Advantageously, a gravure coating method is employed for forming the light diffusion layer.

  • Patent number: 8705024
Abstract: Measurement cannot be made when trying to measure a wavefront aberration of a wide-angle lens, being wide in a field of view, comparing to a focus distance, by a Shack-Hartmann sensor, since an inclination of the wavefront exceeds an allowable value of inclination of the Shack-Hartmann sensor. The Shack-Hartmann sensor is inclined at a position of a pupil of a lens, and is controlled so that it lies within the allowable value mentioned above. Photographing is made through step & repeat while overlapping at the same position, to compose in such a manner that overlapping spots are piled up, and thereby measuring the wavefront aberration of the lens having a large pupil diameter.
