  • Patent number: 4881515
Abstract: An arrow rest for an archery bow which is quickly and easily replaceable and laterally adjustable in the field without any need for tools. The arrow rest has an arrow support arm which pivots upon movement of the arrow shaft and fletching across it and by a resilient arm hinge automatically returns to an initial predetermined position after discharge of the arrow. The arrow rest mounts on the end of an adjusting screw which extends through a hole in the handle portion of a bow. This invention provides easy lateral adjustment and complete replacement of the arrow rest in the field, without any need for tools, while maintaining the precise position and alignment of the arrow rest. This invention also provides an arrow rest that creates very little noise when an arrow shaft and fletching move across the arrow support arm.

  • Patent number: 4809670
Abstract: An arrow rest for an archery bow which is forwardly rotatale against an adjustable spring bias upon movement of an arrow shaft and fletching across an arrow support and automatically returns to an initial predetermined position after discharge. The arrow rest mounts in a hole through the handle portion of the bow, and may provide easy lateral adjustment or complete replacement of the rest in the field.

  • Patent number: 4676512
Abstract: An arrowhead for archery arrows having a plurality of blades wherein the blade carrying body for at least a portion of its length has a reduced cross section area less than that of a circumscribing circle having a center at the center of mass of the blade carrying body at that section, providing reduced radial surface area and deeper target penetration.

  • Patent number: 4548188
Abstract: An arrow rest for an archery bow which is readily laterally adjustable and has an arrow support which pivots upon movement of the arrow shaft and fletching across it and automatically returns to an initial predetermined position after discharge. The arrow rest mounts in a hole through the handle portion of the bow, provides easy lateral adjustment or complete replacement of the rest in the field.

  • Patent number: 4530342
Abstract: An archery bow having a primary energy storage device with a propelling bowstring attached thereto and a secondary and weaker energy storage device including bow limbs having a draw bowstring attached at opposite ends. The draw bowstring and the propelling bowstring are in draw force communication between a predetermined position on the propelling bowstring and the draw bowstring whereby force is applied to the propelling bowstring only at that predetermined position. The tension in opposite ends of the propelling bowstring and the force in opposite ends of the primary energy storage means is equalized and when released propels the arrow in a reproducible fashion without wobble or porpoising.

  • Patent number: 4381866
Abstract: An arrowhead assembly with removable blades for attachment to the forward end of an arrow shaft for archery shooting is disclosed which provides self-aligning and self-centering of the arrowhead upon the arrow shaft. The self-aligning and self-centering is achieved by a non-deformable blade locking ring fitting over a portion of a blade carrying body, the locking ring having an undercut forward portion fitting loosely over a rearward extension of each of the blades and the rearward end of the undercut having an acute angle for forcible engagement against an angle at the rear end of each blade rearward extension. A compressible, resilient ring fits over the blade carrying body adjacent the rearward side of the non-deformable blade locking ring.

  • Patent number: 4380340
Abstract: A bleeder attachment for arrows which fits over the arrow shaft directly behind the arrowhead. The bleeder attachment body may be bulbous or any other suitable shape, and includes a plurality of barbs which extend outwardly and are disposed toward its front end. A lip on the front end of the bleeder attachment body may be used to secure the bleeder attachment to the arrow by disposing the lip between the arrowhead and the arrow shaft. Grooves may be provided on the outer surface of the bleeder attachment body to promote fluid drainage. The bleeder attachment assures quick and sure killing of an animal hit by an arrow of this invention and is readily removable from the arrow.

  • Patent number: 4244345
Abstract: An archery bow with a cam surface in fixed and force transmitting relation to each opposing limb and a torsion device extending between the cam surfaces, a cam following device on each end of the torsion means in force transmitting relation to the cam surfaces on the opposing limbs. A torsion rod and torsion tube and combinations of these may be used to both multiply the draw force transmitted to the arrow and to provide synchronization of the opposing bow limbs.

  • Patent number: 4203601
Abstract: An arrowhead assembly for easy attachment to and removal from the head end of an arrow shaft. The arrowhead body has a through opening centered on its long axis into which fits an adapter shaft at the head end of the arrow shaft or a nosepiece shaft or a combination of these all in fixed relation to the arrow shaft. The arrowhead body of this invention allows the choice of freely rotatable movement of a blade carrying arrowhead body with respect to the nosepiece and arrow shaft or fixed position with respect thereto. The arrowhead body of this invention affords easy exchangeability of arrowhead bodies having different numbers or designs of blades or no blades and different weights on the same arrow shaft and nosepiece assembly.
