  • Patent number: 11251951
Abstract: An authentication server may not support all types of user credentials. For example, an on-premise authentication server may support credentials based on user secrets (i.e. username and password) and certificate-based credentials, but not hardware-key based credentials. A client device may use an un-supported type of credential to access resources managed by the on-premise authentication server by authenticating with a web-based authentication server. The web-based authentication server may support any type of credential, and the supported types of credentials may change over time. The web-based authentication server returns an authenticated user token indicating the user has been authenticated, but without authorizing access to any resources. The client device uses the on-premise authentication server to exchange the authenticated user token for an authorized user token. The client device then uses the authorized user token to access resources on the on-premise network.

  • Publication number: 20210289262
Abstract: This application is directed to presenting a unified user interface on a network-connected television device. The unified user interface displays media content recommendations selected and organized based on knowledge of a user (e.g., search queries, search results, watch history, purchase history, physical activities). The unified user interface also includes a focus area for displaying a series of media content items (e.g., an advertisement) sequentially according to a temporal order for the purposes of promoting a media content item, product, event or service. In some implementations, playback of a media content item presented on the unified user interface relies on a collaborative implementation of a corresponding media player application and a media content casting application, particularly when the play involves a restricted mode. The content casting application is enabled to play the media content item at the restrict mode when the media player application does not operate in the restricted mode.

  • Patent number: 10782492
Abstract: A heatsink for pluggable optical devices that incorporates features to limit the travel and deformation of the mating/mated spring clip that holds the heatsink to the cage of a pluggable optical device. The heatsink bearing surface takes the shape and contour of the leaf spring portion of the spring clip, thereby contacting and supporting it well before it plastically yields and permanently deforms. The shape of this feature, which may be coupled to or integrally formed with the heatsink bearing surface, can match exactly the shape of the spring clip or approximate the shape using a curved, variable, or other easier to manufacture profile, as long as the associated protrusions extend up into the corners of the leaf spring portion of the spring clip. This feature effectively acts as a hard stop and prevents the spring clip from being compromised due to improper handling or installation.

Subject compositions include a Cas9 polypeptide, a guide nucleic acid, and a PAMmer. A subject PAMmer is a single stranded oligonucleotide having a proto spacer adjacent motif (PAM) sequence and at least one of: a specificity segment positioned 5? of the PAM sequence, and an orientation segment positioned 3? of the PAM sequence. In some embodiments, the Cas9 polypeptide is a variant Cas9 polypeptide having reduced nuclease activity relative to a corresponding wild type Cas9 polypeptide. In some cases, methods of binding are for visualizing single stranded target nucleic acids using a detectable label. In some cases, methods of binding are for isolating, collecting, and/or analyzing at least one of: (i) bound single stranded target nucleic acids; and (ii) polypeptides associated with bound single stranded target nucleic acids.
