Abstract: A place-on type assemblable structure comprising an assembly element having a base plate to be placed on a substantially flat surface and a pillar extending upwardly from the base plate, in which a vertical load acting on the pillar is borne substantially by the base plate. This structure needs not to be fixed to the flat surface, and therefore can be assembled and disassembled in the field and reutilized without scrapping.

Abstract: A powder having a predetermined composition is filled in a tube. The tube is drawn to obtain a wire and the wire is rolled to obtain a tape-like starting body. Then, a laser beam is irradiated on the part of the tape to heat and melt the part of the tape. The starting body is rapidly heated and then cooled, thereby the part of the starting body is melted and solidified to form a compound superconductor layer.

Abstract: Improved method for producing anode aluminum foils for electrolytic condensers used in low and intermediate voltage applications in which a hard tempered aluminum foil consisting of 99.9 to 99.99% pure aluminum added with 0.010 to 0.25% by weight of copper is electrolytically etched in an aqueous solution of neutral chlorides such as sodium chloride, aluminum chloride or potassium chloride.

Abstract: A process for producing solar collectors of aluminum or aluminum alloys having a selective absorptive coating. Aluminum or its alloy is dipped in a hot aqueous solution containing a silicate. Aluminum alloys can be also used which contain alloying elements such as iron, copper, titanium, nickel, silver and gold.

Abstract: A process for the production of electroplated aluminium stock, such as strip or wire, comprises passing the stock continuously through a bath having a high dissolving power for aluminium oxide, such as strong aqueous sulphuric acid and phosphoric acid and subsequently through an electroplating bath, the first bath having a cathode electrode and the electroplating bath having an anode electrode so that the stock is anodic in the first bath. The stock may pass through one or more intermediate non-electrolytic treatment stages, such as immersion tinning or zincating. It may also pass through one or more electrolytic pretreatment stages during its passage between the first bath and the electroplating bath. In such pretreatment stages, such as the application of a bronze strike, there may be an anode electrode at the same potential as the anode in the electroplating bath.
