Patent number: 6317160Abstract: A frame conversion device for switching between a plurality of image signals that are not synchronous and outputting each image signal continuously and synchronously. In addition, a desired signal is extracted from the continuous image signals and then output in parallel with the continuous image signals. The frame conversion device utilizes a frame conversion unit for recording an image signal optionally selected from a plurality of input image signals. A frame unit is utilized for reproducing a recorded signal outputted from the frame conversion unit independent of the operation of the frame conversion unit. The frame conversion unit includes an identification signal assigning part which assigns an identification signal to a non-image region of an image signal selected from a plurality of input signals. Frame-converting storage parts store the selected image signal. A signal output part selectively reads the image signal stored in each frame-converting storage device.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 1998Date of Patent: November 13, 2001Assignee: U.S. Philips CorporationInventors: Kozo Yoshida, Mitsuo Yamamoto, Yasutake Inaba

Patent number: 5693218Abstract: A base fixed to a liquid-containing tank and a float disposed above the base are liquid-tightly secured to lower and upper ends, respectively, of a flexible member comprising a bellows cylinder. The base, the float and the flexible member define a liquid reservoir. The float rises when there is a large quantity of liquid in the reservoir and falls when there is a small quantity of liquid in the reservoir, so that a damming plate provided on the float is moved above and below the surface of the liquid in the tank. When the damming plate is moved below the liquid surface, the liquid on the surface flows into the reservoir through a liquid inlet formed in the float, and the liquid that collects in the reservoir is discharged to the exterior of the tank by a liquid discharge pipe. As the float rises, the damming plate is lifted above the surface of the liquid in the tank, thereby cutting off the flow of surface liquid into the reservoir.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 1992Date of Patent: December 2, 1997Assignee: Kowa Kikai Sekkei Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hideo Yamamoto, Mitsuo Yamamoto

Patent number: 5632862Abstract: In a roll for a paper-making machine, a torque which is needed for rotating the roll is reduced and the drive power and a running cost are reduced. A hollow perforated roll in the paper-making machine is rotatably mounted on a bearing housing via a bearing. A cylindrical stationary center shaft extends in an axial direction through a center of the roll and has a perforated circumferential surface. At least two fins extending in an axial direction are mounted on an outer circumferential surface of the center shaft within the hollow interior of the roll, their outer edges being spaced from the inner circumferential surface of the perforated roll. Radially extending disc-like fins are also mounted on the outer circumferential surface of the center shaft perpendicular to an axis of the center shaft with their outer circumferential edges being spaced with a slight gap from the inner circumferential surface of the perforated roll.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 1995Date of Patent: May 27, 1997Assignee: Mitsubishi Jukogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kazuhito Ohira, Setsuo Suzuki, Mitsuo Yamamoto, Shunji Kasuga, Katsuhiko Yamada
