  • Publication number: 20030219509
Abstract: A block member is fixed to the base of a horizontal injection molding machine. The block member and a stationary platen fixed to the base are connected by means of connecting members. In nozzle touch operation, an injection nozzle of the injection unit presses against the stationary platen. Although this pressing force of the injection nozzle urges the stationary platen to fall down, the connecting members and the block member prevent the stationary platen from falling down.

  • Patent number: 6526360
Abstract: The present invention provides a display device displaying power consumption of a machine, which can display power consumption of each power consuming element of the machine and power consumption per cycle of manufacture of products. The display device displays average power consumption of each of power consuming elements M1, M3, M4, M2, M6 and M5 and the total sum of the average power consumption graphically in the manner of displaying the average power consumption of the power consuming elements M1, M3, M4, M2, M6 and M5 in piles every predetermined time period. The power consumption display device also displays power consumption Whc per cycle of manufacture of products or the like through repetitive operation.

  • Publication number: 20010041197
Abstract: A tetragonal prism having a rectangular cross section is attached, as a linear motor movable section, to a moving plate to which a screw is attached rotatably and also immovably in an axial direction. A magnet is attached to each surface of the movable section. A hole section is provided in an outer frame. A linear motor coil is provided on the linear motor fixed section so that it may face the magnet on the surface of the movable section. A screw shaft is rotated by a motor through a measuring shaft penetrating a center of the movable section. By driving the linear motor comprising the magnet and the coil corresponding to each other, the screw is moved and injected in an axial direction. The fixed section is detachable and a gap between the magnet and the coil can be easily adjusted.

  • Patent number: 6054075
Abstract: An insert molding method and apparatus not requiring a multiple movable molds and permitting stable insert molding to be performed by means of light, small-sized equipment. A robot for removing a molded product and a robot for placing an insert member are arranged around a mold clamping mechanism, and making them perform removal of a molded product and placement of the insert member, respectively, during a mold opening process of a molding cycle. The molding apparatus does not requirs a plurality of lower molds (stationary molds) and accordingly permits to eliminate a turntable or a sliding table, whereby the molding apparatus can be reduced in size and weight. Further, since only one lower mold suffices to obtain one type of molded products, the manufacturing cost of molds can be reduced and the mold temperature control can be made easier, so that not only the molding conditions are stabilized but also the life of the mold can be prolonged by eliminating the poor positioning.

  • Patent number: 6030200
Abstract: An electric injection molding machine having a high degree of freedom in design, in which the design change of a part of the injection molding machine does not influence the whole design of the machine. The various layouts can be selected in accordance with a space in a factory in which the machine is to be installed. A base for a mechanical component and a housing for an electric component are provided separately and independently. A clamping unit and an injection unit of the mechanical component is mounted on the base. A power unit for supplying the mechanical component with electric power and a control unit for controlling the mechanical component of the electric component are accommodated in the housing. The mechanical component and the electric component are combined to constitute the injection molding machine in accordance with various arrangement patterns.

  • Patent number: 6024560
Abstract: Principal parts of an injection molding machine (1) are formed by joining a stationary platen (3), moving platen (4), mold clamping mechanism section (7), and rear platen (5) in the order named, the stationary platen (3) and the rear platen (5) are connected by means of tie bars (2), and the moving platen (4) is actuated by means of the mold clamping mechanism section (7) that is provided between the rear platen (5) and the moving platen (4). Guide rods (9) are arranged protruding from that surface of the moving platen (4) which is opposite from the surface on which a stationary-side is mounted, whereby a crosshead (10) is guided in sliding motion. Further, the guide rods (9) are caused to penetrate and project from the rear platen (5), and an injection unit (8) is fixed to their respective distal ends. A slide guide for the crosshead (10) and a support guide for the injection unit (8) are formed integrally with each other, whereby the number of components used and the manufacturing cost are reduced.
